La Jacetania announces a vacancy for a Middle-Level Management Technician

The Comarca de La Jacetania has announced a competitive selection process (open competition-examination) for the permanent filling of one position as a Middle Management Technician, assigned to the Social Services Center. The call is approved by Presidency Resolution No. 925, of August 11, 2026, signed by the president Olvido Moratinos Gracia, and is published in full in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 159, of August 21, 2026 (official reference BOPH-2026-159016).

Interested parties will have twenty business days to submit their application, counted from the day following the publication of the summary of the call in the Official State Gazette. Applications shall be formalized using the enabled electronic form and may be submitted to the General Electronic Registry of the Comarca or at any of the locations provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1.

The position and its functions

The announced position is included in the 2025 Public Employment Offer, approved by Presidency Resolution No. 827, of June 13, 2025, and modified by Resolution No. 804, of July 22, 2026. This is a career civil servant position with the following characteristics:

• Scale: General Administration; Subscale: Management.
• Classification subgroup: A2; denomination: Middle Management Technician.
• Destination supplement: level 21; full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
• Assignment: Social Services Center of the Comarca.

The primary purpose of the position will be the development of the administrative and management functions necessary for the organization and provision of regional social services. Key duties include the processing of files, technical support to the Center’s Management, the management of programs and benefits of the Public Social Services System, and collaboration on procurement files, grants, and agreements.

Requirements and selection process

To participate, it will be necessary to have Spanish nationality (or the access provided for in article 57 of the Basic Statute of Public Employees), possess a university degree (Grado, Diplomatura, or equivalent), and pay the examination fee of 25 euros, subject to the exemptions provided for in Fiscal Ordinance No. 16.

The selection system, with a maximum of 100 points, combines two phases:

• Examination phase (60 points, mandatory and eliminatory): a first exercise consisting of three essay questions (20 points) and a second exercise consisting of a practical case (40 points), involving a case linked to the management of regional social services.
• Competition phase (40 points, non-eliminatory): assessment of professional experience (up to 30 points) and training and qualifications (up to 10 points).

The Evaluating Board will be composed of five members (chairperson, three voting members, and a secretary), with their corresponding alternates, and shall be governed by the principles of impartiality, professionalism, and specialization.

Processing and Publicity

Once the submission period has expired, the Chairperson will issue a resolution within a maximum of ten days containing the provisional list of admitted and excluded candidates, followed by a period of ten business days for corrections. The final list, the composition of the Board, and the date of the first exercise will be published on the regional electronic office and on the notice board.

The call for applications reinforces the management capacity of the social services of the Pyrenean region, which serves the municipalities of La Jacetania in a territory of great geographical dispersion. The incorporation of a level A2 technician will allow for the consolidation of the processing of files, benefits, and social programs, as well as collaboration with the Secretary-Intervention in electronic administration and the transparency of the area.
