La Granjuela opens public information for a farm of 55,000 chickens

The City Council of La Granjuela has agreed to admit for processing the Extraordinary Action Project for the construction and installation of a poultry fattening farm of fewer than 55,000 chickens in the area of El Bonal. The decision, adopted by Mayoral Resolution no. 2026/00000226, dated August 13, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 165, dated August 26, 2026, with the official reference BOP-A-2026-2891.
The project was submitted by Ms. María del Mar Mendoza Serrano and is located in Polygon 4, plot 25, of the municipal district, with cadastral reference 14032A004000250000ZQ. The initiative is being processed as an extraordinary action of public interest, a procedure provided for in Andalusian urban planning regulations for installations that require a singular authorization.
Hearing and Public Information Process
In accordance with Article 22.3 of the LISTA and Article 32 of the REGL/LISTA, in relation to Article 8.2 of the same regulation, the file is submitted for a hearing and public information process for a period of one month, starting from the day following its publication in the provincial gazette.
During this period, those who consider themselves affected may submit allegations:
- The owners of the lands adjacent to the plot where the farm is projected.
- The Public Administrations that protect public interests affected by the action.
Purpose and Characteristics of the Action
The action consists of the construction and installation of a shed for poultry fattening, with a capacity of fewer than 55,000 chickens, which places it at the threshold of medium-sized poultry farms. The chosen location is the El Bonal area, a rural zone of the Córdoba municipality of La Granjuela.
The agreement for admission for processing was signed on August 13, 2026, by the mayor-president, Montserrat Paz Jurado, who is the signatory of the resolution published in the gazette.
