La Gineta announces a permanent position for Operational Services Supervisor

The La Gineta City Council has approved the guidelines to fill, via a competitive examination process, one permanent position for Operational Services Supervisor, classified under group C1, level 19, and full-time. The call was formalized through Mayoral Resolution number 611/2026, of September 4, the full text of which is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Albacete number 109, of September 18, 2026, within the Third Section. Local Administration. The deadline for submitting applications will be 30 business days starting from the day following the publication of the summary announcement in the Official State Gazette.
The position belongs to the Area of Citizen Services/Operational Services, with code 8 of the Job Classification List (RPT), and is endowed with the basic remuneration of subgroup C1 and the supplements assigned to the position. The process is governed by the principle of equal treatment between men and women, in accordance with Article 14 of the Spanish Constitution, Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, and the Equality Plan for municipal personnel approved by the Plenary agreement of March 25, 2024.
A vacancy originating from the 2024 employment offer
The position appears in the public employment offer for the 2024 fiscal year, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Albacete number 68, of June 14, 2024, and in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha number 120, of June 24, 2024. Its modification was published in BOP number 13, of January 30, 2026, and in DOCM number 18, of January 28, 2026.
The classification of the position derives from the RPT approved by the Plenary agreement of March 3, 2023 (BOP number 42, of April 12, 2023), subsequently modified by the Plenary agreement of March 25, 2024 (BOP number 50, of April 29, 2024). The duties are those listed in the functions annex with code 8 of said RPT.
Requirements, examination fee, and submission of applications
Applicants must meet the following requirements, as of the final day of the deadline:
- Spanish nationality, nationality of a member state of the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the right to free movement of workers.
- Be at least 16 years of age and not exceed the maximum compulsory retirement age.
- High school diploma (Bachillerato), Higher Vocational Training (FP Grado Superior), or equivalent for employment purposes.
- Class B driver’s license.
- Not be disqualified or have been dismissed through disciplinary proceedings, and possess the functional capacity to perform the tasks.
Examination fees are set at 30 euros, in accordance with the tax ordinance published in the BOP of Albacete number 35, dated November 22, 2023. Payment shall be made by transfer to account ES26 3190 0004 1900 0766 4626, with the concept “tasa examen Encargado de Servicios Operativos”. Persons seeking employment for at least one month prior to the call who have not rejected suitable offers nor receive income exceeding the minimum interprofessional wage shall be exempt. Failure to justify payment is not remediable and shall result in exclusion.
Two eliminatory exercises and a merits phase
The procedure consists of a competitive examination phase and a merit-based phase, with a maximum of 100 points:
- First exercise: questionnaire of 40 questions with four alternative answers, 45 minutes, up to 40 points; the minimum score is 20 points.
- Second exercise: practical test on specific subjects of the syllabus, with a maximum of 90 minutes and up to 35 points; the minimum score is 16 points.
- Merit phase: up to 25 points, of which 21.60 correspond to professional experience and 3.40 to training courses.
The syllabus includes 10 general subjects and 30 specific subjects, with content on masonry, plumbing, electricity, gardening, carpentry, street cleaning, accessibility, and occupational risk prevention, among others.
Tribunal, job bank, and hiring
The qualifying Tribunal will be composed of five people appointed by the Mayor’s Office, one as president and another as secretary, with voice and vote, and will aim for parity between women and men. The Mayor’s Office will agree on the hiring as permanent contractual staff of the proposed candidate, who must sign the contract within a maximum period of one month.
Candidates who pass at least one test without passing the overall process will constitute a job bank to cover temporary needs in the convened category, with a minimum threshold of 36 points. An optional appeal for reversal may be filed against the rules within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Albacete within two months.
The call reinforces the municipal operational services staff with one structural position and opens a stable access route to local public employment, in addition to generating a job bank for future substitutions in the City Council of La Gineta.
