The Generalitat auctions a wild goat hunting permit in Montgrí

The Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food has called for the public auction of a wild goat hunting permit in the Montgrí Controlled Hunting Zone for the 2026-2027 season. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya (DOGC) no. 9763, dated October 2, 2026, with the reference CVE-DOGC-A-26266044-2026. Interested parties may submit their offers until 2:00 PM on October 25, 2026, and the public auction act will take place on November 3, 2026.

The call stems from the resolution of the Director General of Forests and Environmental Management, dated September 17, 2026, which approves the Technical Hunting Management Plan of the Montgrí Controlled Hunting Zone for the 2026-2027 hunting season. This plan provides for the wild goat hunting permit that the Generalitat de Catalunya must grant for reasons of population control of these animals. The award is made by public auction and has as its sole criterion the upward economic offer over the base valuation, with ordinary processing.

Characteristics of the auctioned permit

The object of the utilization is a single permit, with the following technical conditions:

• Game: 1 male wild goat over 8 years old
• Modality: stalking
• Hunting dates: December 14 and 15, 2026
• Captures: a single capture per authorized permit

The announcement specifies two consecutive hunting dates to carry out the permit: in the event that it could not be carried out on the first day, the following day is available to complete it.

Contracting Board and competent bodies

The Contracting Board of the auction is chaired by the Sub-Director General of Game Fauna, Hunting and Continental Fishing or a delegated person. The following serve as members:

• The technical director of the Montgrí controlled hunting zone
• The head of the Hunting Activities and Continental Fishing Section in Girona
• The technical director of the Montgrí, Medes Islands and Baix Ter Natural Park
• The person responsible for the Processing of Legal Files of the Directorate General of Forests and Environmental Management

A technician from the Planning and Conservation Service of Game and Fish Species acts as secretary, with a voice but without a vote. The final award corresponds to the Director General of Forests and Environmental Management, in accordance with the proposal of the Board.

The conditions for participating in the auction are as follows:
