The Generalitat increases aid for organic certification to 1,498,000 euros

The Department of Agriculture, Water, Livestock and Fisheries has increased by 300,000 euros the available credit for organic production certification grants for the 2026 financial year in the Valencian Community. The measure is formalized through the Resolution of October 21, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) no. 10485, of November 3, 2026, within section III (administrative acts, grants and scholarships), with reference DOGV-C-2026-34127. The same gazette contains the extract of the resolution with reference DOGV-C-2026-34361.

From 1,198,000 to 1,498,000 euros

The approved text varies the amount allocated in the call for applications and sets the total for the 2026 financial year at 1,498,000 euros, compared to the 1,198,000 euros initially planned. The increase of 300,000 euros applies to the grant line S0482, “Support for the certification of organic production,” announced by the Resolution of May 8, 2026, published in the DOGV no. 10368, of May 22, 2026.

The October resolution originates from the approval of Law 4/2026, of July 22, on the Generalitat budgets for 2026, published in the DOGV no. 10425, of August 10, 2026. Its section 12, dedicated to Agriculture, Water, Livestock and Fisheries, assigns a budget of 1,500,000 euros to line S0482. The second section of the May call for applications itself warned that the publication of the 2026 budgets could vary the allocated amount, a detail that is now being specified.

The charge is attributed to the budgetary application of the managing center G01120201GE00000, subprogram 714B00, chapter 4, line S0482. The proposed resolution was formulated by the head of the Organic Production and Innovation Service on October 6, 2026, and the extract appears signed by María Àngels Ramón-Llin Martínez, Director General of Agricultural and Livestock Production, by virtue of the delegation provided for in Order 6/2024, of May 23.

Who can apply for these grants

• Beneficiaries: farmers, livestock breeders, and agricultural companies that certify their production as organic.
• Objective of the line: to support and incentivize the certification of organic production in the Valencian Community.
• Expected completion period: 12 months.
• Method of granting: competitive bidding, in accordance with Order 6/2024, of May 23, which establishes the regulatory bases (DOGV no. 9856, of May 24, 2024).
• Applicable regulations: regulatory bases order and the call for applications resolution.

These points are included in the department’s Strategic Grant Plan for 2024-2026, updated by the Resolution of October 22, 2026 (DOGV no. 10480, of October 27, 2026), which allocates a total cost of 1,500,000 euros with own funding for line S0482 and relocates it to subprogram 714B00. Two other lines linked to the ecological sector appear in the same plan: S0551, for aid to organic livestock farming in extensive practices, endowed with 80,000 euros, and S0798, for the improvement of management and control structures of the Organic Agriculture Committee of the Comunitat Valenciana.

Monitoring and publication in the state database

The extract is disseminated in accordance with articles 17.3.b) and 20.8.a) of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general grants law, and identifies the call in the National Grants Database with number 905995. The monitoring of the line will be carried out with three indicators: number of applications submitted, number of grants awarded, and percentage of the budget executed.

Against the resolution, which ends the administrative route, the following may be filed:

• Optional appeal for reversal (recurso potestativo de reposición) before the regional minister (conseller) of Agriculture, Water, Livestock and Fisheries, within one month from the day following its publication.
• Contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of the Comunitat Valenciana, within two months from the day following its notification.

The expansion arrives with the budget for the current year already well underway and increases the public effort in a line that will cover the certification costs for those producing under the organic seal. For Valencian operators in the sector—farmers, livestock breeders, and agricultural companies—the additional margin of 300,000 euros reduces the risk that the call will close due to exhaustion of credit before attending to all applications admitted in accordance with Order 6/2024.
