The Generalitat grants 985,000 euros to women's associations

The First Vice-Presidency and Department of Housing, Employment, Youth and Equality has resolved to grant the aid intended for the promotion of the women’s associative movement and the promotion of equality between women and men in the Comunitat Valenciana for the 2026 financial year. The resolution, signed on August 12, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) number 10432, of August 19, 2026, with reference DOGV-C-2026-27121.

The total amount granted amounts to 985,000.00 euros, financed from chapter IV of the Generalitat’s expenditure budget for 2026, through the subsidy line S1176, managing center G01140401 and budget program 323A00 (Equal opportunities between women and men).

Regulatory framework and processing

The aid is governed by the regulatory bases approved by the Resolution of July 16, 2025 of the First Vice-Presidency and the Department of Social Services, Equality and Housing (DOGV no. 10155, of July 21, 2025), with its corrections of errors of August 6 and September 17, 2025. The call for 2026 was approved by the Resolution of March 30, 2026 (DOGV no. 10339, of April 10, 2026), under a competitive bidding process.

The evaluation commission was constituted in accordance with the tenth section of the bases and met on July 9 and 13, 2026, submitting its proposal to the Directorate General for Equality and the Women’s Institute. The resolution is signed by the director general, Davinia Bono Pozuelo, in the exercise of delegated competence.

Distribution of the allocation

The allocation is divided into two blocks of 50% each, according to the sixth resolution of the call:

• 492,500.00 euros for type 1 and 2 projects aimed at non-profit entities that promote equal opportunities, as well as women’s associations with at least 90% of associated persons being women.
• 492,500.00 euros for type 2 projects aimed at organizations and companies.

The maximum amount per beneficiary is 15,000 euros. The aid granted to organizations and companies are considered de minimis aid in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/2831 of December 13, 2023.

Beneficiaries and deadlines

The beneficiary entities appear in annex III of the resolution, with their projects and scores. Among them are, for example, the Federación Lucentum de Consumidores y Amas de Casa, the Grupo de Dones dels Ports, the Federación de Asociaciones de Mujeres Rurales PV, AFAMMER Valencia, AMAMANTA Grupo de Apoyo a la Lactancia Materna, the Fundació Nova Feina de la CV or the Asociación ASTI, among others from the three provinces.

The execution and justification deadlines are as follows:

• Non-profit entities: execute the project until December 31, 2026 and justify until January 31, 2027.
• Organizations and companies: execute until October 31, 2026 and justify until November 15, 2026.

Non-profit associations will receive payment in advance and are exempt from providing guarantees, while organizations and companies will receive payment after the justification of the program. The justification shall be submitted electronically through procedure 109870 of the Generalitat.

Unmet applications

The resolution also includes in its annexes I and II the files that were dismissed, inadmissible, or withdrawn. Applications are denied if the projects did not reach the minimum required score of 55 points, as well as those entities that did not prove among their purposes the promotion and encouragement of equal opportunities between women and men, did not rectify requirements, or submitted duplicate applications.

Publication in the DOGV serves as notification to the interested entities. An appeal for reversal may be filed with the first vice president and counselor within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of the Valencian Community within two months.

This call consolidates public support for the network of women’s associations in Alicante, Castellón, and Valencia, financing projects for awareness, empowerment, prevention of gender-based violence, co-responsibility, and visibility of equality, with a direct impact on thousands of women in the Valencian Community.
