The Botí Foundation rectifies the material error of the II Academic Awards

The Rafael Botí Provincial Foundation of Plastic Arts has rectified a material error in the call for the II Academic Awards for Plastic Arts and has reopened the application period, which is now 7 business days. The correction is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba no. 183, dated September 22, 2026, page 13554, with reference BOP-A-2026-3197, and bears the signature of the Foundation’s president, Gabriel Duque Moreno.

The corrective announcement modifies the summary of the Decree of the Presidency of the Botí Foundation, dated September 1, 2026, by which the call is approved. The Foundation noted a material error in the publication of the Official Gazette of the Province no. 181, announcement no. 3157 and code BDNS 929812, corresponding to September 18, 2026.

The original publication, with reference BOP-A-2026-3157, identified the call as a “drawing and painting contest,” a designation that is now replaced by the II Academic Awards for Plastic Arts Córdoba Provincial Council-Rafael Botí Provincial Foundation of Plastic Arts. The rectification is based on articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and the full text of the call remains available in the National Subsidies Database.

The material error being corrected

The announcement published this Tuesday literally reproduces the “where it says” and “it should say” of the previous summary. Where it stated “drawing and painting contest Rafael Botí Provincial Foundation of Plastic Arts-Córdoba Provincial Council for the 2026 fiscal year,” it must now read the call for the II Academic Awards for Plastic Arts Córdoba Provincial Council-Rafael Botí Provincial Foundation of Plastic Arts.

The Foundation classifies the incident as a material error, without altering the objective or the regulatory bases of the competition, which remain published on the notice board of the entity’s electronic office.

New application period

The direct consequence of the rectification is the modification of the calendar:

• The application period is now 7 business days.
• The count begins the day following the publication of the corrective announcement, that is, from September 23, 2026.
• Applications received after the deadline will not be admitted.
• Applications are submitted exclusively by electronic means, through the electronic office of the Rafael Botí Provincial Foundation of Plastic Arts or by any of the means provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1.

Recipients, amount, and form of participation

The call for applications is aimed at students of plastic arts education in the province of Córdoba who have completed their studies in the 2025-2026 academic year. The available budget amounts to 19,139.00 euros.

The centers and programs called to participate are:

• Mateo Inurria School of Art and Dionisio Ortiz School of Art, along with their Art Baccalaureates.
• IES Luis Carrillo de Sotomayor in Baena.
• IES Aguilar y Eslava in Cabra.
• IES Luis de Góngora in Córdoba.
• IES Trassierra in Córdoba.
• IES Jerez y Caballero in Hinojosa del Duque.
• IES Marqués de Comares in Lucena.
• IES Emilio Canalejo Olmeda in Montilla.
• IES Álvarez Cubero in Priego de Córdoba.
• IES Manuel Reina in Puente Genil.

Each educational center must submit the application using Annex I, attaching a certificate or list of files for each category, without identified personal data. The Foundation does not access the personal data of the students until the final phase, intended to identify the winners of each category.

Impact for participants

The rectification grants educational centers and students in the province a window of seven business days to formalize their candidacies, after the erroneous naming of the original announcement could have generated doubts regarding the actual purpose of the call. Interested parties must process Annex I electronically within the new deadline, as late applications will be excluded.
