The CSF La Cañada de Rojales photovoltaic plant is released for public information

The Third Vice-Presidency and Department of Environment, Infrastructure, Territory and Recovery of the Generalitat Valenciana has opened for public consultation the requests for prior administrative authorization and administrative construction authorization for the photovoltaic plant hybridized with electrochemical batteries CSF La Cañada, located in the municipality of Rojales (Alicante). The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) No. 10448, of September 10, 2026, with reference DOGV-C-2026-28121 and file ATALFE/2024/34/03.

The installation, with an installed capacity of 3 MW and a granted access capacity of 3 MW, is being processed under the urgency procedure provided for in the Decree-law 14/2020, of August 7, of the Consell, regarding measures to accelerate the implementation of renewable energies, which reduces the deadlines of the ordinary procedure by half. The competent body to authorize the installation is the territorial body of Alicante for energy matters.

The project and its promoter

The petitioner is Rojales Solar, SL (CIF B44816320), with registered office at Paseo de la Castellana No. 95, 29th floor, Madrid. The generating plant is located in polygon 8, plots 179 and 180, of Rojales, and its evacuation infrastructure extends across plots 179, 9005, 152, 9009, and 107 of the same polygon.

• Budget: €2,257,445.98.
• Generating field: 2,340 bifacial photovoltaic modules of 720 Wp (1,937.52 kWp total) on North-South single-axis trackers.
• Storage: 4 electrochemical batteries with a capacity of 2,032 kWh each (8.128 MWh in total).
• Inverters: 15 units of 213 kW (rated at 200 kW), with a nominal power of 3 MW.
• Transformation: 1 transformer of 3,300 kVA that steps up the voltage to 20 kV.

Evacuation and grid connection

The energy will be evacuated via a 198-meter high-voltage underground line to a protection and measurement center, and from there via another 1,145-meter line to a new sectioning center that will be transferred to the distribution network manager, i-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes, SAU. The center will be connected by a double-circuit line to the existing “7 - Hoya” 20 kV line of the Rojales substation, affecting the Rojales transport node (220 kV).

The documentation submitted for consultation includes the plant project, the evacuation infrastructure project, the environmental impact study, the landscape integration study, the forest risk prevention specifications, and the decommissioning plan, along with the separate reports addressed to the Rojales City Council, ADIF, the Comunidad de Regantes de Riegos de Levante Margen Derecho, and i-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes, SAU.

Period for allegations

The documentation may be consulted at the public information electronic addresses of the Conselleria, available the day after publication. Natural or legal persons who consider themselves affected may examine the documents and submit allegations within a period of fifteen business days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement, electronically via the electronic office of the Generalitat or through any of the means specified in Article 16 of Law 39/2015. The announcement is signed by Sara Blanes Bas, head of the Territorial Service of Industry, Energy, and Mines of Alicante, dated August 26, 2026.

Failure to appear in this procedure will not prevent interested parties from filing the appropriate appeals against the final resolution of the process. The urgency processing accelerates the resolution, bringing closer the commissioning of a plant that combines photovoltaic generation and battery storage, key to reinforcing the electrical grid of the Vega Baja region.
