The DPT distributes 299,000 euros to repair municipal livestock facilities

The Provincial Council of Teruel has approved the granting of 298,904.95 euros in aid to 39 town councils in the province for the repair of municipal livestock facilities, as part of the program corresponding to the 2026 financial year. The decision, adopted by Presidential Decree number 2026-3033 of August 27, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel number 165, of August 31, 2026, under reference 2026-2546.
The expenditure is financed through budget allocation 4120-46216 of the Corporation’s General Budget for 2026, and is distributed according to the percentages, limits, and conditions established in the program call.
Regulatory Framework and Call
The aid is framed within the Strategic Subsidy Plan (2024-2027), approved by the Provincial Plenary on January 31, 2024, and published in BOP number 25, of February 5, as well as in the Council’s General Subsidy Ordinance, published in BOP number 102, of May 29, 2024.
The program call for 2026 was approved by Presidential Decree 2026-2132, of June 3, 2026, with a maximum allocation of 300,000 euros. It is registered in the National Subsidy Database (BDNS) under number 910542 and was published in BOPTE number 106, of June 8, 2026. The granting resolution includes a favorable report from the Technical Valuation Commission and the conformity report from the General Comptroller number 2026-1404, of August 26.
Subsidized Actions
The subsidies, which range between 50% and 70% of the cost depending on the municipality, cover repair and improvement works for infrastructure supporting the livestock sector. Among the financed items are:
- Water storage ponds (Valdelinares, Cosa, Cubla, Berge, Bezas, Corbalán, Camañas, Celadas, Alacón, Singra, among others).
- Watering troughs (Vinaceite, Mirambel, Cuevas de Almudén, La Zoma, Gúdar, Bueña, Orihuela del Tremedal, Cañada de Benatanduz).
- Fountains and watering troughs (Monterde de Albarracín, Lledó, Moscardón, Frías de Albarracín, Noguera, Terriente, Jabaloyas, Griegos).
- Shelters and corral roofs (Aguaviva, Cantavieja, Fuentes de Rubielos).
- Sheepfolds (Linares de Mora, Villar del Cobo) and solar pumping (Cuevas Labradas).
Beneficiary Municipalities
The list of beneficiary town councils includes, among others, Valdelinares, Vinaceite, Cosa, Mirambel, Cuevas de Almudén, Peñarroya de Tastavins, Monterde de Albarracín, Aguaviva, Cubla, Cantavieja, Torres de Albarracín, Cañizar del Olivar, Berge, Lledó, La Zoma, Fuentes de Rubielos, Moscardón, Bezas, Linares de Mora, Frías de Albarracín, Corbalán, Villar del Cobo, Noguera, Terriente, Arcos de las Salinas, Camañas, Cuevas Labradas, Gúdar, Celadas, Puebla de Valverde, Jabaloyas, Alacón, Vivel del Río Martín, Singra, Villarroya de los Pinares, Bueña, Orihuela del Tremedal, Cañada de Benatanduz, and Griegos.
The resolution, signed by the president of the Provincial Council, Mr. Joaquín Juste Sanz, exhausts the administrative route and may be appealed for reconsideration before the Presidency within one month or directly before the contentious-administrative jurisdiction within two months.
Impact for the sector
These grants represent direct support for livestock farming in the province, a strategic sector for the economy and the maintenance of the population in the rural areas of Teruel. The repair of ponds, watering holes, and shelters guarantees access to water and the protection of livestock, essential infrastructures for the viability of the farms and for fixing the population in the small beneficiary municipalities.
