DPH announces the RAEE 2026 grants for performing arts venues.

The Provincial Council of Huesca (DPH) has opened the call for aid under the Aragonese Network of Performing Arts Spaces (RAEE) program for 2026, with a maximum budget of 95,000 euros aimed at co-financing the performing arts and musical activity of the province’s town councils. The call is made public through the extract of Decree number 2756, of August 7, 2026, of the Presidency of the Provincial Council, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 152, on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 (reference BOPH-2026-152001).
The announcement, registered in the National Database of Subsidies with identifier BDNS 924481, is processed in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, and with the General Ordinance by which the Provincial Council approves the regulatory bases of its subsidies. All town councils of the province of Huesca that are owners, tenants, or holders, by any other legal title, of a performing arts space specifically intended for the holding of cultural activities may benefit. Pavilions, multidisciplinary sports centers, multi-purpose rooms, and similar spaces are not considered performing arts spaces.
Requirements of the performing arts space
To be eligible for subsidies, spaces must meet the following characteristics:
- Minimum capacity of 200 seats, including spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility.
- Stage with a minimum of 7 meters of proscenium width and 5 meters of depth.
- Storage for materials.
- Booth with equipment, or sufficient space in the seating area for lighting, sound, projection, etc., tables.
- Dressing rooms equipped with tables, chairs, and mirrors with makeup lighting.
Amount and co-financing regime
The call has a maximum of 95,000 euros, charged to budget item 2026.45-3341-462300 (document RC 2026.2.0005970.000). The annual activity projects of participating town councils will be co-financed by the Provincial Council by up to 35%, in two lines:
- Stable municipal performing arts programming: co-financed at 35%, with a maximum eligible budget of 60,000 euros.
- Complementary cultural projects: additionally co-financed at 35%, with a maximum eligible budget of 10,000 euros.
The aid is compatible with other subsidies for the same purpose from any administration or public or private entity, national or international, provided that the sum of all of them does not exceed 80% of the eligible expenditure. The obtaining of other funds must be communicated to the Provincial Council both in the application and in the supporting documentation.
Deadline and submission procedure
Applications may be submitted during 20 business days counted from the day following the publication of the extract in the bulletin, i.e., from August 13, 2026. In accordance with Article 14 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, the documentation must be submitted through the electronic registry. The extract is signed in Huesca, on August 7, 2026, by the accidental secretary of the Provincial Council, Jorge Pueyo Moy.
The call strengthens the performing and musical programming of the municipalities of Huesca with theatres or auditoriums, guaranteeing resources to maintain stable cultural offerings with professional and quality criteria. For town councils, it represents a way to sustain and expand their cultural activity, and for the performing arts sector, an opportunity for funded hiring in a key year for the reactivation of local venues.
