The Provincial Council of Toledo has definitively resolved the call for grants to promote cultural visits to the Sabor Toledo Festival, endowed with 80,000 euros and aimed at local entities within the province. The agreement, adopted by the Governing Board on August 28, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Toledo number 167, dated September 2, 2026, with reference No. I.- 3935.
The call, identified in the National Grants Database (BDNS) under number 914359, was approved by the Governing Board on June 19, 2026, and published in the BOPT number 116, dated June 23, 2026. The application deadline ended on July 13, 2026, in accordance with the eleventh clause, and the provisional resolution proposal was formulated on July 27, opening a ten-day period for allegations before the final proposal on August 17.
An 80,000 euro call
The credit is charged to the budgetary application 2026/3340/46200 “Current transfers to City Councils,” with expenditure authorization from accounting operation 2026.2.0018010.000. The grants finance cultural trips from municipalities to attend the festival, which takes place from September 24 to 27, 2026, and are compatible with other grants provided that the combined amount does not exceed the total cost of the activity.
The total amount granted amounts to 48,707.02 euros, distributed among the beneficiary entities, and the remaining credit of 31,292.98 euros is voided. The individual amount is assigned based on the number of inhabitants of each municipality, according to the twelfth clause, with a subsidy percentage of 100% in all cases.
Dozens of beneficiary municipalities
The resolution includes an extensive list of beneficiary towns, including:
- Alameda de la Sagra, Albarreal de Tajo, Alcabón and Almendral de la Cañada
- Añover de Tajo, Argés, Borox, Burguillos and Burujón
- Cebolla, Corral de Almaguer, Dosbarrios and El Carpio de Tajo

The amounts granted range from 297 euros for Villamiel de Toledo to 1,500 euros for Seseña, depending on the requested investment and the maximum limit per population.
Velada, inadmissible due to late submission
The only rejected application is that of the Velada City Council, which was inadmissible due to late submission, as it was registered on July 28, 2026, after the deadline ended on July 13, in accordance with the eleventh base, point four, of the call. The remaining applications meet all the requirements to access the grant.
The agreement, signed by the president of the Provincial Council, Concepción Cedillo Tardío, and the acting secretary general, Francisco Ferrero Casillas, will be notified to the interested entities, who may file an appeal for reversal within one month or a contentious-administrative appeal within two months of its publication.
The final resolution allows the province’s city councils to finalize the programming of their cultural trips to the Sabor Toledo Festival, which will be held at the end of September, guaranteeing the participation of dozens of municipalities in one of the province’s main gastronomic and cultural events.
