La Diputación reparte 95.000 euros para artes escénicas entre seis ayuntamientos

The Provincial Council of Huesca has resolved the call for grants for activities within the Aragonese Network of Performing Arts Spaces (RAEE) for 2026 and will distribute 95,000 euros among six city councils in the province to program shows. The decision is adopted by Decree no. 3533, of October 13, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca no. 201, of Tuesday, October 20, 2026 (reference BOPH-2026-201001).

The framework of the call

The resolution is issued under Article 21 of the General Ordinance approving the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies by the Provincial Council and Article 26 of Legislative Decree 2/2023, of May 3, of the Government of Aragon, which approves the consolidated text of the Subsidies Law of Aragon.

The file is no. 1775477Q of the Culture Section. The call was published in the National Subsidies Database with identifier 924481, and its extract appeared in the BOP of Huesca no. 152, of August 12, 2026. The procedure is processed via the simplified competitive bidding route.

The file incorporates the pre-evaluation report and the valuation report from the Middle Technician of Performing and Musical Arts, both dated October 7, 2026, the resolution proposal from the instructing body of the same date, and the favorable audit report no. 1155/2026, of October 9, from the Intervention Service. The decree bears the signature of the president of the corporation, Isaac Claver Ortigosa, in Huesca, on October 16, 2026.

Distribution among six municipalities

The grants are awarded to the listed local entities, with the following breakdown between regular and complementary programs:

  • Monzón (NIF P2221800B): 17,538.46 euros.
  • Barbastro (P2206100F): 17,538.46 euros.
  • Graus (P2216300J): 9,353.85 euros.
  • Jaca (P2217800H): 17,538.46 euros.
  • Sabiñánigo (P2227500B): 12,569.23 euros (10,230.77 for the regular program and 2,338.46 for the complementary program).
  • Huesca (P2217300I): 20,461.54 euros (17,538.46 for the regular program and 2,923.08 for the complementary program).

The total amount amounts to 95,000.00 euros and will be paid against budget application 2025-45-3341-462300 (Aragonese Network of Performing Arts Spaces. Current subsidies to city councils), accounting document A 2026.2.0014792.000.

Pro-rating of 29.23 percent

Since all applications submitted were admitted for meeting the requirements of the call, the amount for each beneficiary has been set by applying 29.23% to the eligible budget. In this way, the allocation designated in the call is pro-rated among all beneficiaries.

The eligible budgets declared by the town councils range from 32,000 euros for Graus to 70,000 euros for Huesca, while the applications submitted ranged from 11,200 euros for Graus to 40,317.75 euros for Jaca.

Fonz, excluded due to multipurpose room

The resolution dismisses the application from the Fonz Town Council (NIF P2215300A), which requested 7,373.05 euros based on a budget of 21,165.86 euros. The reason is that the space for which the aid was requested is considered a multipurpose room, and these are not considered performing arts spaces for the purposes of the call, according to the Third Base.

The decree is considered final and ends the administrative process, as no other facts or allegations besides those provided by the interested parties appear in the procedure. An optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the same body within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Court based in the provincial capital within two months, starting from the day following the receipt of the notification.

The resolution closes the annual calendar of the provincial network of performing arts spaces and guarantees funding for the six beneficiary town councils to hire companies and schedule performances during 2026. The distribution, however, leaves out Fonz and confirms that the allocation of 95,000 euros covers just under a third of what was requested by the municipalities, an element to be taken into account by the province’s performing arts sector.
