The Provincial Council distributes 40,000 euros among eight self-employed resin collectors from Cuenca

The Provincial Council of Cuenca has granted aid totaling 40,000 euros to eight self-employed workers in the province’s resin sector, within the framework of the call «Grant for self-employed workers in the resin sector in the province of Cuenca, year 2026». The resolution, issued by the Entrepreneurship, Demographic Challenge and Agriculture Service, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cuenca number 101, dated September 2, 2026, page 8, under document number 2086.

The grant stems from Decree no. 4312, of June 9, 2026, by the President of the Council, which approved the call, and is based on the Proposed Resolution No. 2026FL/1125, of September 1, 2026, and the audit report of file No. 1739329K. The terms of the call were published in the B.O.P. No. 68, of June 17, 2026, and the processing complies with Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies.

Beneficiaries and amounts

The aid is distributed among eight applicants who meet the required criteria, with an individual amount of 5,194.80 euros for seven of them and 3,636.40 euros for the remaining one:

Financing and payment conditions

The credit is authorized against budget item 600 4312 4800032 «Support for Self-Employed Sector (Resin)» of the Council’s Expenditure Budget for 2026. Payment will be made as a total payment following justification, in accordance with article 21 of the call.

The maximum deadline for justification is set before October 31, 2026. Failure to provide justification within the deadline, or insufficient justification, will result in the loss of the right to collect the grant, in whole or in part, according to article 37 of Law 38/2003. Beneficiaries are also subject to the verification and financial control actions of the Council’s Funds Audit Office.

Relevance for the province

The resolution is published in the provincial gazette and on the Council’s electronic headquarters for notification purposes, and information regarding the grant will be sent to the National Subsidy Database (BDNS). Support for the resin sector reinforces an activity linked to the province’s forests, which is key to stabilizing the population in rural areas and maintaining pine forests, in line with the demographic challenge policies promoted by the provincial institution.
