The Provincial Council of Cuenca has published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cuenca (BOP) No. 92, of August 12, 2026, the proposed provisional resolution of the call for grants for the promotion of gender equality 2026 «Iguales Sumamos +». The announcement, signed by the deputy for Social Services, Equality and Cooperation, Eva García García-Marquina, proposes granting €100,000 to 91 associations and excludes 7 of the 98 applications submitted.

The call was approved by Decree No. 3,800, of May 25, 2026, published in BOP No. 61, of May 29, 2026. It is financed under budget item 306 231 4800109 “Grants for the promotion of gender equality”, with a maximum total amount of €100,000, and is processed under the competitive selection procedure in accordance with Article 22.1 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Grants. The Evaluation Commission met on August 4, 2026 and the proposal was formulated on August 7 by the procedure instructor, Mª Ángeles Briones Peralta, general coordinator of Social Services.

Seven applications are excluded

Six of the exclusions are due to failure to comply with the first requirement of the call and one to the lack of required documentation:

  • Cultural Association Añil y Arrebol (El Peral): does not comply with the first requirement.
  • Tarancón Table Tennis Sports Club (Tarancón): does not comply with the first requirement.
  • Association of Women Infantas Elena y Cristina (Fuente de Pedro Naharro): does not provide the required documentation.
  • Cultural Association La Vega (Osa de la Vega): does not comply with the first requirement.
  • Association Women, Men, Boys and Girls Forever (Cuenca): does not comply with the first requirement.
  • Mares de Leche Association (Molinos de Papel): does not comply with the first requirement.
  • Cultural Association La Dolorosa (El Peral): does not comply with the first requirement.

91 entities admitted and distribution of the funds

The remaining 91 applications meet the requirements of the fifth rule of the call and have obtained scores according to the evaluation criteria. The total amount allocated amounts to €100,000.00, under budget item 306 231 4800109, and payment will be made as total advance payment in accordance with the fifteenth rule.

  • Project execution: with deadline September 30, 2026.
  • Justification of the grants: until November 30, 2026.
  • The lack or insufficiency of justification will entail total or partial reimbursement and late payment interest (Article 37 of Law 38/2003).

Allegations within ten working days

In accordance with the twelfth rule, publication in the BOP replaces individual notification (Article 45.1.b of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations). Interested parties have ten business days from the day following publication to submit allegations; those whose proposed amount is reduced with respect to the requested amount must reformulate their application within the same period, respecting the purpose, conditions and aim of the subsidy.

The provisional proposal does not create any right in favor of the beneficiaries until the awarding resolution is notified. The information will be sent to the National Database of Subsidies (BDNS) and will be published on the electronic office of the Provincial Council (https://sede.dipucuenca.es), under the control of the Funds Intervention.

Relevance for provincial associations

The provisional resolution allows women’s associations and social entities of the province to know in advance the fate of their projects, mostly oriented towards cultural, training and equality promotion activities in rural areas. The allocation of 100,000 euros confirms the support of the Provincial Council for the women’s associative fabric, although it will be the final resolution, after the allegations procedure, that establishes the final list of beneficiary entities.
