The Provincial Council tenders used vehicles for the SPEIS in three lots

The Governing Board of the Provincial Council of Segovia, in its ordinary session on September 8, 2026, approved the procurement file for the supply of used operational units destined for the Fire Prevention, Extinction, and Rescue Service (SPEIS). The agreement, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Segovia number 111, dated September 16, 2026, was adopted unanimously and enables the opening of the tender on the Public Sector Procurement Platform and in the OJEU.

The session was presided over by the president of the Corporation, Miguel Ángel de Vicente Martín, with the attendance of all Board members, the Secretary General, and the Comptroller. The agreements were adopted by virtue of the powers delegated by the Presidency Decree No. 4449, of July 18, 2023, and the extract was signed by the Secretary General, M.ª Lourdes Merino Ibáñez, on September 9, 2026.

Three lots for the fire station

The supply contract for used operational units for SPEIS is structured into three lots, all including VAT:

• Lot No. 1: €167,250.00
• Lot No. 2: €133,100.00
• Lot No. 3: €165,000.00

The global tender budget amounts to €465,350.00. The agreement includes the approval of the contract’s justifying report, the corresponding expenditure, the Technical Specifications Document, and the Administrative Particular Clauses Document, as well as the provision for its opening through the publication of the tender notices.

Asphalt emulsions for the provincial network

In the same session, the Governing Board approved a second procurement file for the “Supply of asphalt emulsions for the maintenance of roads of the Provincial Council of Segovia, year 2026”, with a base tender budget of €400,631.00, VAT included. In this case as well, the opening of the tender was arranged with the publication of the notices on the Public Sector Procurement Platform and in the OJEU.

Both contracts are added to other agreements adopted in the same session, including the approval of budget modifications through credit transfers amounting to €7,308.00 and the validation of expenses incurred without the comptroller’s function for €29,698.74.

Opportunity for companies in the province

The tender for the SPEIS vehicles and the asphalt emulsions opens a period of competition for supplier companies in the province and the rest of the sector. The renewal of the operational units of the fire extinction service reinforces the emergency response capacity in the municipalities of Segovia, while the supply of emulsions guarantees the maintenance of the provincial road network during the fiscal year.
