La Diputación informa del proyecto de rehabilitación de cinco carreteras del norte

The Provincial Council of Cáceres has opened the public information process for the structural pavement rehabilitation project affecting five provincially-owned roads in the north of the province. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres number 0207, corresponding to Wednesday, October 28, 2026, in Section I (Local Administration), page 24427, with the official reference BOP-2026-5027. The document was signed in Cáceres on October 26, 2026, by the corporation’s secretary, Álvaro Casas Avilés.

Twenty days to examine the project

The announcement is based on the provision contained in Article 83 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, which requires a participation period to be opened before resolving procedures that affect the rights and interests of citizens. The established period is twenty days, during which any natural or legal person may examine the project documentation.

The consultation is channeled through the General Planning Service of the Provincial Council of Cáceres, which will make the project available to those who request it via electronic means. According to the published text, no in-person exhibition or physical consultation office is planned: access is electronic and subject to a prior request to the managing service.

The five included routes

The works file identified as 2026-27/041/001 groups five actions under a single designation, corresponding to five roads of the provincial network:

  • CC-101, from Valverde del Fresno to the border with the province of Salamanca.
  • CC-103, access from the CC-102 to El Soto.
  • CC-105, from the EX-205 to the CC-104 via Villamiel.
  • CC-108, from Cilleros to Hoyos.
  • CC-111, from the EX-205 to the EX-109 via Acebo.

All of them are subject to “structural pavement rehabilitation,” meaning the deep repair of the pavement package and not a simple overlay or superficial patching. The announcement does not detail the budget, the length of the sections, or the execution period of the works, data which must be consulted in the project documentation.

A series of projects already underway

The announcement of October 28 is part of a series of files of the same nature processed by the provincial institution in recent weeks. The Official Gazette of the Province already published on September 9, 2026, the public information for file 2026-27/041/002, relating to road CC-114, from the EX-205 to the border with Salamanca via Cadalso and Descargamaría, also under the heading of structural pavement rehabilitation (reference BOP-2026-4203).

On September 24, 2026, it was the turn of file 2026-27/041/020, in this case for the CC-430, between the EX-102 and the EX-116 towards Valdecaballeros, with an identical objective and the same twenty-day public information period (reference BOP-2026-4421). The sequence shows a continuous road surface renewal program in the provincial road network, with individualized processing by file.

Impact on residents and transporters

The five roads included in this announcement connect municipalities and districts of the provincial northwest —Valverde del Fresno, Villamiel, Cilleros, and Acebo, in addition to El Soto— and link at various points with the regional network of the EX-205 and the EX-109, as well as the crossing toward Salamanca. These are roads used daily for school and health commutes and access to services, as well as for freight transport and the agricultural and livestock activity of the area.

The twenty-day period that now begins is the only formal window for residents, associations, companies, and transporters to submit allegations or suggestions before the project continues its administrative course. Once the deadline has expired, the file will continue its processing in accordance with the procedure provided for in Law 39/2015.
