The Provincial Council finances the water of Coripe and the Casariche bridge
Por FactBox Admin

The Provincial Council of Seville has approved the granting of two direct nominative grants in kind to the town councils of Coripe and Casariche to finance basic infrastructure works in both municipalities. The resolutions, signed by the Deputy Delegate of the Area of Supramunicipal Public Services, are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville number 163, dated Monday, August 24, 2026.
The first, authorized by Resolution 5688/2026, of August 14, is destined for the improvement and rehabilitation of the high-pressure drinking water system in Coripe; the second, by Resolution 5689/2026, of August 14, for the improvement of the bridge over the Yeguas River in Casariche. Both aids are processed as grants in kind, meaning they do not involve a direct economic disbursement to the beneficiary and are materialized through the delivery of the executed work.
Drinking water for Coripe
The grant to Coripe (NIF P4103500G) will finance the contracting of the works necessary to rehabilitate and repair both the tanks and the high-pressure supply network, given the poor condition of the tank reinforcements and the accumulation of lime within it. The action, included in file 34 of the Strategic Grant Plan 2024-2027, will cover 100% of the activity and will be charged to the budget application 3201-45200-65017.
The contemplated works basically consist of:
- Automation of chlorination.
- Repair of cracks in tank 3.
- Connection of drains.
- Structural rehabilitation of tanks 2, 3, and 4.
- Replacement of the filling pipe and the pumping equipment of tank 4.
- Protection cabinet for electrical installations.
- Formation of slopes on the roof of tank 3.
- Conditioning of catchment wells.
The request from the Coripe Town Council dates from June 3, 2026 (Ref. Sideral 43646), accompanied by the descriptive project of the action.
Reinforcement of the Casariche bridge
In Casariche (NIF P4102600F), the aid will finance the improvement of the “Fuente Arriba” or “Pasadilla” bridge over the Yeguas River to allow its reopening for public use. The projected solution consists of an intervention under the foundation using IRS micropiles executed from the inside of the abutment, capped with a reinforced concrete beam, which makes the stability of the structure independent of the behavior of the riverbed and prevents the undermining of the foundation.
The action is recorded in file 41 of the same Strategic Grant Plan 2024-2027, and the request from the Casariche Town Council was submitted on May 15, 2026. Both files include certificates from the Provincial Treasury, Treasury, and Social Security proving that the beneficiaries are up to date with their obligations.
Processing and effects
Since these are grants in kind, the budgetary management procedure of Article 34 of the General Grants Law does not apply to them, and the beneficiaries are not required to justify the expenditure. The final amount of each grant will be determined in the delivery-receipt act signed upon delivery of the work. The grants are incompatible with other aid for the same purpose and will be reported to the National Grants Database.
The announcements, which exhaust the administrative route, were signed by the Deputy Secretary General acting as Secretary General, María García de Pesquera Tassara. An optional appeal for reversal may be filed against them within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Court of First Instance of Seville within two months.
These two investments reinforce essential services for the citizens of the Sierra Sur and the Campiña sevillana: they guarantee the supply of drinking water in Coripe and recover for public use a key bridge for mobility in Casariche, within the framework of the assistance that the Provincial Council provides to the municipalities of the province.
