The Provincial Council presents the rehabilitation of the Barrax swimming pool for 400,000 euros

The Provincial Council of Albacete has presented to the public the rehabilitation project for the municipal swimming pool of Barrax, an action 85% co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and endowed with a total budget of €400,000.00 (VAT included). The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Albacete, number 102, dated September 2, 2026, in the Third Section of Local Administration, and opens a period of 20 business days for the submission of claims.
The processing corresponds to the Planning, Cooperation, and Contracting Service of the Provincial Council, acting in accordance with Article 93 of the revised text of the legal provisions currently in force regarding the Local Regime, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 781/86, of April 18. The project was drafted by the architect Julio Zamora García.
European Financing
The work is part of the Spain Pluriregional Program ERDF 2021-2027, within the Integrated Action Plan (PAI) of the La Roda Functional Area, along with its participation and communication plan. The financing comes from the call for the allocation of ERDF financial paths to integrated action plans of local entities, within the framework of sustainable urban development, published by the Ministry of Finance with identifier BDNS: 805218.
The grant was formalized through the Resolution of January 16, 2026, of the Directorate General for European Funds, which definitively resolves the aforementioned call funded by the ERDF for the 2021-2027 programming period.
