The Provincial Council opens the reinforcement of three provincial roads to claims

The Provincial Council of Soria, through its Provincial Roads Service, has opened for public exhibition for the purpose of claims three pavement reinforcement projects in the provincial road network, approved by the Governing Board in an ordinary session held on August 17, 2026. The files, which have a combined budget of 1,297,700 euros, are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Soria number 100, dated August 28, 2026.

Interested parties will have a period of twenty business days to file any claims they deem appropriate, as stated in the three announcements signed on August 24, 2026, by the 1st Vice President, Mª José Jiménez Las Heras.

The three reinforcement projects

The actions, all of which consist of pavement reinforcement, are distributed across three sections of the provincial network with their respective budgets:

• Pavement reinforcement of CP. SO-P-5223, between km 0+000 and 4+650, from SO-P-5022 in Talveila to SO-P-5018 in Cubilla, with a budget of 455,900.00 euros (reference BOPSO-100-28082026-1621, page 2999).
• Pavement reinforcement of CP. SO-P-5225, between km 0+000 and 4+270, from SO-P-5022 to SO-P-5018 in Garrocha del Obispo, with a budget of 434,600.00 euros (reference BOPSO-100-28082026-1622, page 3000).
• Pavement reinforcement of CP. SO-P-1126, between km 0+000 and 3+900, from SO-630 to Valtajeros, with a budget of 407,200.00 euros (reference BOPSO-100-28082026-1623, page 3001).

A preliminary step to tendering

The public exhibition constitutes the preliminary procedure for the contracting of the works, in which any person who considers themselves entitled may present allegations against the approved projects. Once the claims period has been resolved, the Provincial Council of Soria may proceed with the tendering of the three construction contracts.

The three affected sections provide the backbone for communication between rural centers in Soria, connecting towns such as Talveila, Cubilla, Garrocha del Obispo, and Valtajeros with the main network of provincial and regional roads.

Relevance for the province

Pavement reinforcement is one of the priority actions to guarantee the safety and accessibility of the provincial road network, especially in a province with a strong rural character like Soria, where local roads are the main axis of communication between municipalities. The joint investment, exceeding 1.29 million euros, represents a substantial improvement in the state of conservation of these three sections and a boost to economic activity and mobility for the residents of the area.
