The Provincial Council increases aid for elderly care homes to 200,000 euros

The Provincial Council of Teruel has increased by 60,000 euros the credit for the call for grants intended to finance investment expenses in residential centers for the elderly during 2026, which now has a maximum amount of 200,000 euros. The measure was formalized through Decree 2026-3210, dated September 14, 2026, from the Presidency of the Council, an extract of which was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel number 179, dated September 18, 2026, under reference 2026-2688.

An additional credit of 60,000 euros

The decree declares the existence of available credits in budget application 2310-78000, corresponding to grants for the service provision program in residential centers for the elderly, investment expenses 2026, for an amount of 60,000.00 euros. This amount is incorporated as an additional sum to the existing call, within the limits and conditions established in article 58.5 of the RLGS (General Grants Law Regulations).

The final distribution of the maximum amount of the call is fixed in the following terms:

• Initially estimated amount of the call: 140,000.00 euros.
• Declared additional amount: 60,000.00 euros.
• Final maximum amount of the call: 200,000.00 euros.

Publication and effects on applicants

The decree orders the publication of the declaration of available credits and the final distribution prior to the award resolution, and through the same media as the call:

• The Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel.
• The National Grants Database (BDNS).
• The electronic office of the Provincial Council of Teruel.

The text further specifies that this publication does not imply the opening of a new period for submitting applications nor the start of a new countdown for the resolution period, in accordance with article 58.5 of the RLGS. In other words, the credit expansion does not alter the already closed deadlines of the call, but only the economic ceiling available for the award.

The call is processed under the General Ordinance approving the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies by the Provincial Council of Teruel, approved by the Provincial Plenary in the session of March 27, 2024, and published in full in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel number 102, dated May 29, 2024.

The published extract is dated in Teruel on September 16, 2026, and electronically signed by the Secretary General, José Luis López García. The file is identified by number 2026-2688 and the decree by number 2026-3210.

Relevance for the province

The expansion is of direct interest to the city councils and the entities that manage elderly care homes in the province of Teruel, as it increases by more than 40% the credit initially planned for investments in these centers. With the final maximum amount of 200,000 euros, the Provincial Council has a greater margin to address requests for the improvement and equipping of facilities that are key for the care of the elderly population in the rural areas of Teruel.
