The Provincial Council allocates 282,000 euros for artificial turf in Nueva Carteya

The Plenary of the Provincial Council of Córdoba, in a session held on September 23, 2026, approved the modification of the Provincial Plans 2024-2027 to replace the rehabilitation of a building in Nueva Carteya with the installation of artificial turf in the football field of the San Pedro Municipal Sports Center, with a provincial grant of 282,000.00 euros. The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba on Thursday, October 8, 2026, number 195, page 14485, with the official reference BOP-A-2026-3273.

The decision responds to the request made by the City Council of Nueva Carteya and is processed by the Delegation of Infrastructure, Sustainability, and Agriculture of the provincial institution. The announcement is subject to the public information process provided for in Article 32 of Royal Legislative Decree 781/1986, of April 18, which approves the revised text of the legal provisions in force regarding local government.

What changes in the Provincial Plans 2024-2027

The approved modification operates through two movements regarding the first biennium of the provincial program:

• Cancel the action titled “Rehabilitation of building of interest at calle Calvario 84”, for the amount of 282,000.00 euros, with the execution system of contracting by the Provincial Council.
• Include a new action titled “Replacement of artificial turf in the football field of the San Pedro Municipal Sports Center”, with the same budget of 282,000.00 euros and with the execution system of contracting by the Provincial Council.

The global amount does not vary: the provincial grant is transferred entirely from one project to another, with no municipal contribution in either case.

Current actions in Nueva Carteya

Following the modification, the municipality maintains two actions within the Provincial Plans 2024-2027:

• Replacement of artificial turf in the football field of the San Pedro Municipal Sports Center: grant of 282,000.00 euros in the first biennium, local contribution of 0.00 euros, total of 282,000.00 euros, execution by the Council.
• Improvement of connectivity of the “El Higuerón” archaeological site: grant of 87,599.99 euros in the second biennium, local contribution of 0.00 euros, total of 87,599.99 euros, execution by the Council.

Both interventions are fully funded by provincial funds and are contracted by the supramunicipal institution itself, not by the city council.

Processing and deadline for allegations

The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba for the purpose of possible allegations or claims, within a period of 10 days, in accordance with the procedure established in Article 32 of Royal Legislative Decree 781/1986, of April 18.

The operation reveals the room for maneuver that city councils have to reorganize their investments within the provincial plans before the works begin.
