The Provincial Council of Zamora approves a credit supplement of 1.3 million

Por FactBox Admin

The Plenary of the Provincial Council of Zamora, in a session held on July 10, 2026, initially approved file no. 32/2026 for a credit modification via credit supplement, for a total amount of 1,300,000 euros, intended to address new needs and finance the proposals presented. The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Zamora number 100, dated August 28, 2026, in the Local Administration section, with the reference R-202602065.

The budget modification is processed through a credit supplement, a mechanism that allows for the expansion of credit for existing expenditure items when available resources prove insufficient. The file, electronically signed on August 27, 2026, was signed by the acting president, Víctor López de la Parte, dated Zamora, August 25, 2026.

Detail of expenditure items

The credit supplement is distributed between two budget applications in the expenditure chapter, totaling 1.3 million euros:

  • 32.453.0.610.01 — investment in the amount of 1,100,000.00 €.
  • 32.453.0.227.06 — expenditure in the amount of 200,000.00 €.

Both items fall under functional area 32.453, which places the operation within the scope of the Council’s actions regarding provincial infrastructure and services.

Financing of the operation

The increase in expenditure is financed by the revenue item 21.870.00, for an amount of 1,300,000.00 €, which exactly offsets the total of the expenditure items. In this way, the budget modification is presented as balanced, without altering the overall result of the provincial accounts beyond the reallocation of resources.

Deadlines and appeals

A contentious-administrative appeal may be filed directly against the agreement within a period of two months, counting from the day following its publication, before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Castilla y León, in accordance with Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating the Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction. This is without prejudice to the filing of any other appeal deemed appropriate.

The initial approval of file 32/2026 represents a relevant step in the budget management of the Provincial Council of Zamora, reinforcing its capacity for investment and the provision of services to the municipalities of the province. The publication in the official gazette opens the period for allegations and appeals, after which the agreement must be ratified for its definitive entry into force.
