The Provincial Council of Ávila allocates 450,000 euros for water supply

The Provincial Council of Ávila has announced grants totaling 450,000 euros to finance low-cost works aimed at guaranteeing the water supply in the population centers of municipalities with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ávila number 173, dated September 8, 2026, under announcement number 1794/26 and identifier BDNS 927694.

Beneficiaries and purpose of the aid

Municipalities in the province of Ávila with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants, as well as Minor Local Entities, may apply for these grants, provided they have regulatory ordinances for the drinking water supply service and residential water meters.

The purpose is the execution of rapid-implementation and low-cost works aimed at avoiding or resolving emergency situations caused by the lack, scarcity, or quality of water for human consumption. The eligible actions must have been executed between January and July 2026 and shall be intended to improve, adapt, or modernize installations, equipment, or infrastructure for the human consumption of drinking water.

Relief for the majority of Ávila’s municipalities
