The Provincial Council of Jaén appoints the jury for the "Rodando por Jaén" contest

The Provincial Council of Jaén has approved the appointment of the jury for the XIV Rodando por Jaén 2026 Short Film Contest, which will be chaired by film director Pablo Berger. The designation is formalized through Resolution No. 510, issued on September 15, 2026, by the Delegate Deputy of the Culture and Sports Area. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén No. 181, dated September 17, 2026, under reference 2026/4334.

The agreement is adopted by virtue of the Delegation Resolution number 432, dated July 4, 2023, which empowers the delegate deputy to issue the appointment resolution. The text is inserted in the Local Administration section of the provincial gazette, on page 13775, and is made public “for general knowledge.” The resolution is signed in Jaén, on September 15, 2026, by the Deputy of Culture, África Colomo Jiménez.

Jury Presidency

The jury will be chaired by Pablo Berger, film director and co-director of the “Rodando por Jaén” Short Film Contest Workshop, according to the composition detailed in the official announcement. The presidency thus falls to a filmmaker directly linked to the training workshop that accompanies the competition.

Members

The resolution details the complete list of members, with profiles in acting, journalism, production, and audiovisual distribution:

• Coria Castillo, actress.
• Ruth Díaz, actress.
• Rogelio Delgado, journalist, film distributor and producer, president of AEDAVA (Association of Audiovisual Distribution Companies of Andalusia).
• Isabel Gómez, journalist and director of Una de Cine on Canal Sur.
• Enrique Iznaola, coordinator of the “Rodando por Jaén” Short Film Contest.
• Laura Ramos, actress.
• Luis Tejera, producer.

Altogether, the body brings together three actresses, two journalists, two producers, and one distributor, in addition to the coordinator of the contest itself.

Secretariat with voice and vote

The secretariat of the jury, with voice and vote, will be held by Manuela Gámez Catena, Head of the Cultural Promotion and Diffusion Section of the Culture and Sports Area of the Provincial Council of Jaén. Her inclusion completes a nine-member body: one presidency, seven memberships, and one secretariat.

The appointment is disseminated through the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén No. 181, corresponding to Thursday, September 17, 2026, within the Local Administration section and under reference 2026/4334. The publication in the official gazette gives a public and formal character to the composition of the jury for this fourteenth edition of the competition.
