Por FactBox Admin

The Provincial Council of Huesca has resolved the call for grants for the implementation of permanent adult education activities during the 2025-2026 academic year and has established the distribution among the seven requesting regions (comarcas). The decision was adopted via Decree No. 3548, of October 14, 2026, from the Presidency of the Corporation, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca No. 200, of October 19, 2026, in the Local Administration section. The amount granted to the beneficiary entities totals 153,669.36 euros.
The framework of the call
The grants were announced by Presidency Decree No. 2757, of August 7, 2026, published in the National Grants Database with the identifier 924473, and whose summary appeared in BOPH No. 152, of August 12, 2026. The call provided for a credit of 195,000.00 euros, allocated to budget application 41.3260.465000, and was processed through the simplified competitive procedure provided for in article 16.3.b) of Legislative Decree 2/2023, of May 3, of the Government of Aragon, which approves the consolidated text of the Aragon Grants Law.
The distribution was carried out by prorating the credit among all admitted applicants, in accordance with the twelfth section of the call and the report of the Evaluation Commission, with the support of the Monitoring Commission. The file is being processed by the Culture service of the Provincial Council, and the verification report on compliance with the conditions is dated September 30, 2026.
The seven beneficiary regions
All submitted applications meet the requirements and have been admitted. The approved distribution, including the subsidized amount, the amount to be justified, and the score obtained, is as follows:
- Comarca de los Monegros: €18,870.97 grant, €124,518.53 to be justified, 60 points.
- Comarca del Bajo Cinca: €20,000.00 grant, €84,150.00 to be justified, 70 points.

- Comarca de Sobrarbe: €20,443.55 grant, €94,940.38 to be justified, 65 points.
- Comarca Somontano de Barbastro: €23,588.71 grant, €101,257.68 to be justified, 75 points.

- Comarca de la Ribagorza: €22,016.13 grant, €66,146.68 to be justified, 70 points.
The expenditure will be charged to budget application 202641-3260-465000 of the General Budget of the Corporation for 2026, under the heading of the call for grants for permanent adult education activities in regions.
Deadlines and appeal process
The resolution establishes an immediate obligation for the beneficiary entities: the supporting documentation must be submitted to the Diputación de Huesca before November 6, 2026. Since the notified parties are public administrations, against this resolution, which exhausts the administrative route, an optional request may be filed within two months before the same body that issued it or, directly, a contentious-administrative appeal before the contentious-administrative section of the Tribunal de Instancia de Huesca.
The call further establishes that these grants are compatible with other subsidies or income for the same purpose, provided that the sum of all public aid does not exceed 80% of the activity’s budget, and requires notifying the Diputación of any other funding obtained.
Impact for the territory
The distribution closes the administrative cycle of a program that supports adult continuing education in the rural areas of Upper Aragon, where the comarcas (counties) are the entities that organize the training offer. With the grants already resolved, the seven comarcas have less than three weeks to gather and present the justification for an activity whose total declared cost exceeds 883,000 euros, meaning that compliance with the November 6 deadline determines the actual payment of the subsidies.
