Por FactBox Admin

The Provincial Council of Guadalajara has announced the selective tests for the permanent appointment, via the competition-examination system and open call, of one position as IT Auxiliary Technician. The specific rules were approved by the corporation’s Governing Board in an extraordinary session on October 7, 2026, and are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara No. 203, dated October 23, 2026, with the announcement signed by the president, José Luis Vega Pérez.
The position is vacant within the civil servant staff and corresponds to the public employment offer of the Provincial Council of Guadalajara for 2024. It is integrated into the Special Administration scale, classification of Auxiliary Technicians, group C, subgroup C1, and its general responsibilities are summarized as “performing and supervising IT tasks.”
Regulatory Framework and General Rules
The specific rules are supplemented by the General Rules governing the calls for public employment offers for 2023 and 2024, approved by the Governing Board in an extraordinary session on September 3, 2024, and published in BOP No. 181, dated September 23, 2024.
The text incorporates the principle of equal treatment between men and women in accordance with Article 14 of the Spanish Constitution, Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30, Organic Law 3/2007, of March 22, and Law 12/2010, of November 18, on Equality between Women and Men of Castilla-La Mancha.
Requirements, Qualifications, and Fee
Applicants must meet the requirements of the general rules and, additionally, the following:
- Hold the title of Microcomputer Systems and Networks Technician (LOE) or Computer Systems Operation Technician (LOGSE), or be in a position to obtain it before the application deadline.
- Higher Vocational Training degrees from the IT and Communications family are accepted as qualifying degrees: Higher Technician in Network Computer Systems Administration, Higher Technician in Multiplatform Application Development, and Higher Technician in Web Application Development, as well as university degrees in the IT field higher than the one required.
- Pay a fee of 19.32 euros for examination rights; persons who have been unemployed for more than six months in the last year shall pay 9.66 euros.
- Payment should preferably be made through the Council’s payment portal or by deposit into account ES36-2100-8665-9002-0001-7813.
Application Deadline and Selection Process
Applications, addressed to the Presidency of the Corporation and adjusted to the model in Annex I, shall preferably be submitted electronically within 20 business days starting from the day following the publication of the call summary in the Official State Gazette. Failure to pay the fee will result in exclusion.
The process assigns 75% of the score to the competitive examination phase (up to 150 points) and 25% to the merit phase, in accordance with article 46.5 of Law 4/2011, of March 10, on Public Employment of Castilla-La Mancha. The competitive examination consists of two eliminatory exercises:
- First exercise: a multiple-choice questionnaire of 40 questions (plus 5 reserve questions) based on a syllabus of 40 topics—8 general and 32 specific—with a duration of 50 minutes; each correct answer is worth 1.8750 points and each error subtracts 0.4688. The minimum passing grade is 37.50 points.
- Second exercise: a case study or practical test of 50 to 90 minutes, with up to 10 points for the approach, 60 for development and result, and 5 for the explanation to the Tribunal; it also requires a minimum of 37.50 points.
Merit phase, job pool, and calendar
Only the merits of those who pass both exercises will be evaluated, using the scale from the eighth base of the general bases. No less than four months may elapse between the publication of the call and the holding of the tests, and the proposed person will have 20 business days to present the supporting documentation.
A job pool will be formed with those who pass both exercises without obtaining a position and, subsidiarily, another with those who pass only the first; both will be applied after those derived from internal promotion and before those for temporary employment stabilization.
The call is released with the examination calendar yet to be finalized, as the location, date, and time of the exercises will be set in the resolution approving the final list of admitted candidates. For provincial auxiliary IT technicians and for candidates of subgroup C1, this is one of the few open-access positions in the provincial administration linked to the 2024 offer, with a syllabus heavily oriented toward systems, networks, security, and cloud services administration.
