La Diputación de Guadalajara concede siete becas de investigación de 2.500 euros

The Governing Board of the Provincial Council of Guadalajara has made final the resolution of the call for seven research grants for master’s theses and doctoral dissertations, each endowed with 2,500 euros. The agreement was adopted on October 13, 2026, and was signed by the president of the institution, José Luis Vega Pérez, on October 15. Its publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara number 199, dated October 19, 2026, closes File 3630/2026 and serves as notification to the interested parties.

A process resolved without appeals

The call was initially approved by the Governing Board on May 26, 2026, and its guidelines were published in BOP number 106, dated June 8, 2026. The Evaluation Committee met on July 21, and the provisional resolution was approved on September 9, with publication in BOP number 177, dated September 16, 2026.

According to the agreement, no appeals were submitted following that publication, in accordance with the eleventh rule of the call. The text is based on the tenth guideline and Article 45 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. The Governing Board approved the final resolution with six votes in favor, none against, and no abstentions.

The seven beneficiaries and their projects

The grantees are listed in order of the score awarded by the Evaluation Committee, from highest to lowest:

  • Isabel Ruiz Vilches, with 60 points, for “The humor of the Book of Good Love as a didactic gateway to the work.”
  • Sergio Lluva Plaza, with 60 points, for “Contribution to the improvement of independent living based on information in localization systems.”
  • Henar Calvo Sánchez, with 58 points, for “Restoration of the HBV-specific cytotoxic T cell response in HBV chronic hepatitis e-antigen negative.”
  • Asunción Mateos Gámez, with 57.5 points, for “Establishment and financing of sustainable development in the depopulated environments of Spain.”
  • Silvia Radigales Pastor, with 56 points, for “Inhabiting the environment: identity and heritage.”
  • César Mínguez Ojeda, with 55 points, for “Development of survival models based on machine learning for the prediction of oncological outcomes.”
  • Juan de las Heras Vela, with 53.5 points, for “Jesús Villa-Rojo, his writing for cello and the analysis of Oración Serena.”

Financial endowment and educational nature

Each scholarship is endowed with 2,500 euros, in accordance with the sixth basis of the call, and will be paid from budget item 334 48001 of the 2026 Budget of the Provincial Council of Guadalajara. The agreement reminds that the scholarship “does not generate any labor or contractual relationship with the Council of Guadalajara, its purpose being exclusively educational.”

Substitutes and appeal process

The agreement also determines the final list of substitutes, in order of priority, to fill vacancies that may arise due to resignation or the impossibility of accepting or enjoying the scholarship:

  • Alba Huerta Sanz, substitute 5, with 49 points.
  • Hanli Liu Xiao, substitute 6, with 48.5 points.

An optional appeal for reversal may be filed against the agreement before the Governing Board, or a direct challenge may be brought before the contentious-administrative jurisdictional order.

The resolution closes a procedure of nearly five months and provides certainty to the seven selected researchers, who can now plan the development of their work during 2026 with funding of 2,500 euros each. For the universities and centers of the province, the announcement also confirms the support of the Council of Guadalajara for research on heritage, depopulation, health, and humanities, and leaves the door open for the two substitutes in case of resignations.
