The Provincial Council of Cuenca has published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cuenca (no. 102, of September 4, 2026, pages 16 to 27, reference NO. 2100) the proposed final resolution of the call for grants for the promotion of gender equality 2026 “Iguales Sumamos +”, which distributes 100,000 euros among 91 admitted associations. The resolution, signed on September 2, 2026, by the deputy for Social Services, Equality, and Cooperation, Eva García García-Marquina, is published for the purpose of notifying the interested entities.
The call was approved by Decree no. 3,800, of May 25, 2026, published in the B.O.P. no. 61, of May 29, 2026. The funding is charged to the budget allocation 306 231 4800109 “Grants for the Promotion of Gender Equality” of the current provincial budget, and the awarding procedure is that of competitive bidding provided for in article 22.1 of the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17.
A total of 98 applications and 7 exclusions
98 applications from associations across the province were submitted to the call. The Evaluation Commission, meeting on August 4, 2026, studied and scored the files, and the instructor of the procedure, Mª Ángeles Briones Peralta, general coordinator of Social Services, formulated the proposal. Of the 98 applications, 91 were admitted and 7 excluded for failing to comply with the first basis of the call or for failing to provide the required documentation:
- Asociación Cultural Añil y Arrebol (El Peral)
- Club Deportivo Tenis de Mesa Tarancón (Tarancón)

Funded projects and amounts
The 91 admitted associations receive grants ranging from 348.95 euros to 5,000 euros per entity, until the total amount of 100,000 euros is exhausted. Among the funded projects are gender equality workshops, cultural and leisure activities, rural women’s empowerment programs, women creators’ conferences, and association activities in municipalities such as Albendea, Belmonte, Cuenca, Huete, Motilla del Palancar, Mota del Cuervo, Sotos, Talayuelas, or Villarta, among others. The only modification to the provisional proposal affects the Asociación de Mujeres Castellano Manchegas de Graja de Iniesta, which increases from 28 to 33 points.
Execution, justification, and acceptance deadlines
Payment will be made via the total advance payment modality of the granted subsidy, according to the Fifteenth Rule of the call. Subsidized projects must be executed by the deadline of September 30, 2026, and the justification of the subsidy will end on November 30, 2026. Failure to provide justification or insufficient justification will result in the total or partial reimbursement of the aid, along with the corresponding late payment interests.
The entities proposed as beneficiaries have a period of ten business days from the publication in the B.O.P. to communicate their acceptance or rejection; the subsidy will be understood as accepted if they do not expressly oppose it. The resolution will also be notified to the Funds Audit Office (Intervención de Fondos) and the information will be supplied to the National Subsidy Database (BDNS) and the electronic office of the Provincial Council.
This call consolidates provincial support for the associative fabric of women and equality policies in rural areas, with coverage reaching dozens of municipalities in the province. The publication of the final resolution allows the admitted associations to begin the execution of their projects within the established deadlines.
