La Diputación de Castellón convoca dos plazas de ordenanza por concurso-oposición

The Provincial Council of Castellón has announced a competitive examination (concurso-oposición) for open entry to permanently fill two vacant messenger (ordenanza) positions within its civil service staff. The resolution is signed, by delegation of the president, by the delegated deputy for Human Resources via Decree no. 2026-3230, dated August 31, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Castellón no. 112, dated September 17, 2026, with the official reference 04096-2026-U. Interested parties will have ten business days to submit their application, counting from the day following the publication of the call summary in the Official State Gazette (BOE).

The call is based on article 61.12.a) of the Regulations on the Organization, Operation, and Legal Regime of Local Corporations, approved by Royal Decree 2568/1986, of November 28, and on article 5 of Royal Decree 896/1991, of June 6, which establishes the basic rules and minimum programs for the selection procedure of Local Administration civil servants. The file includes a favorable report with a proposed resolution from the Human Resources Service and a compliance report from the Comptroller’s Office.

The delegated deputy acts using the powers conferred by Presidency Resolution no. 20260363, dated February 18, 2026. The announcement is categorized under the Local Administration section, within the Personnel subsection, and is dated September 15, 2026, in Castellón de la Plana.

Two subordinate positions included in the 2024 and 2025 employment offer

The two announced positions have the following characteristics:

  • Number of positions: two (2), messenger (ordenanza).
  • Selection system: competitive examination (concurso-oposición), open entry.
  • Link: permanent appointment, vacancies in the Provincial Council’s civil service staff.
  • Classification: General Administration Scale, Subordinate Subscale, Group AP.
  • Origin: included in the public employment offers for the years 2024 and 2025.

The classification in Group AP and the Subordinate Subscale complies with Legislative Royal Decree 5/2015, of October 30, which approves the Revised Text of the Basic Statute of Public Employees Law.

Ten-business-day deadline and submission of applications

Applications must be addressed to the Most Illustrious Mrs. President of the Provincial Council of Castellón within a period of ten (10) business days. The count begins the day following the publication of the call summary in the Official State Gazette (BOE), such that the effective opening of the deadline is subject to that state publication.

Full terms and publicity of subsequent announcements

The rules governing the selection process were published in full in the Official Gazette of the Province of Castellón no. 91, dated July 31, 2025. Subsequent announcements regarding the call for applications will be disseminated exclusively through two channels:

The announcement is signed by the Secretary General, by delegation, through the Head of the Human Resources Service, Mónica Marí Torán.

The call expands the Provincial Council’s public employment offer and opens a stable access route to the provincial civil service for applicants for subordinate positions. As these are open-competition positions included in the 2024 and 2025 offers, the process contributes to filling pending vacancies in the workforce and reinforcing the institution’s general services personnel. Interested parties should note that the deadline only begins to run upon the publication of the summary in the BOE and that all subsequent information will be channeled through the provincial gazette and the Human Resources website.
