Por FactBox Admin

The Provincial Council of Córdoba has appointed Mariano Poyato Zafra as a special advisor to the socialist group, replacing Antonio Gallego Sánchez, who was dismissed from the same position. The move is formalized in two Presidential decrees published jointly in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba, issue number 208, dated October 27, 2026 (pp. 15567-15568), under reference BOP-A-2026-3596. The announcement is signed by the president of the institution, Salvador Fuentes Lopera, dated in Córdoba on October 21, 2026.
The text reports on two resolutions adopted on different dates: the appointment was agreed upon by Presidential Decree on August 29, 2026, while the dismissal was resolved by Presidential Decree on October 9, 2026, entered in the Resolution Book under number 2026/9317. The joint publication is based on the duty to publicize these appointments imposed by Article 104.3 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of the Local Regime.
An advisor for the socialist group
The appointment affects an advisor position assigned to the PSOE Political Group and is identified in the announcement with resolution number 9599/2026. The designation is made using the powers that Article 104.2 of Law 7/1985 and Article 61, paragraph 12, letter d) of Royal Decree 2568/1986, of November 28, attribute to the president of the corporation for the filling of positions of trust.
- Position title: advisor.
- Political group: PSOE.
- Appointed person: Mariano Poyato Zafra.
- Resolution: 9599/2026.
Previous dismissal from the same position
The announcement also includes the departure of Antonio Gallego Sánchez, who held the advisor position for the same political group. His dismissal was agreed upon by presidential decree on October 9, 2026, with an entry in the Resolution Book under number 2026/9317.
The gazette recalls that the appointment and dismissal of such personnel are discretionary and that those performing these functions automatically cease when the authority to whom they provide their trust or advisory services is dismissed or their mandate expires.
Remuneration set by the Plenary and publicity of changes
The economic conditions of these positions are not detailed in the announcement; instead, they refer to the agreement of the Council Plenary adopted in an extraordinary session on July 12, 2023, which determined the number, characteristics, and remuneration of the positions reserved for special personnel. That agreement was published in BOP no. 136, of July 19, 2023, and was modified in BOP no. 162, of August 25, 2023.
Since then, remuneration updates and successive designations have appeared in the provincial gazette, as listed in the announcement itself:
- Remuneration increases: BOP no. 227, of November 29, 2023; no. 73, of April 16, 2024; no. 145, of July 29, 2024; no. 207, of October 29, 2025; and no. 2, of January 5, 2026.
