Por FactBox Admin

The Provincial Council of Cáceres has specifically assumed the competence to appoint the members of the selection and provision boards for job positions and has modified the composition of the board in charge of the competitive examination for six General Administration Technician positions. The decision, adopted by the president of the institution via resolution dated August 21, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres number 0163, dated August 26, 2026, in Section I of Local Administration, pages 19779-19780 (official reference: BOP-2026-4032).

A competence assumed by the Presidency

The resolution, signed in Cáceres on August 24, 2026, by the secretary Álvaro Casas Avilés, first agrees to assume the competence regarding the appointment of board members, for both selection and the provision of job positions. The Presidency further reserves its own powers regarding the regime of competencies and will be the body responsible for resolving any doubts arising from the interpretation of the resolution.

The new composition of the board

The selection board for the six General Administration Technician positions is composed of the following members:

  • Presidency: Álvaro Casas Avilés; substitute, María Isabel Amaro Bravo.
  • Permanent Secretary: Alfonso Arrimadas García; substitute, Olga Fernández Rodríguez.
  • Permanent Member 1: María Nuria Benavente Martín; substitutes, Ana Ballesteros García and Sara Molano Breña.
  • Permanent Member 2: María Inés Carrera González; substitutes, Catalina Merchán Martín and María Cristina Muñoz Fernández.
  • Permanent Member from another Administration 3: Saturnino del Pozo Sánchez; substitute, Juan Carlos Díaz Silveira.

Appeals process

The resolution is final in administrative proceedings, in accordance with article 88.3 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. An Administrative Appeal may be filed against it before the Court of said jurisdiction in Cáceres within two months of its receipt, or, optionally, a Request for Reversal before the Presidency within one month of its notification, without prejudice to any other appeal deemed appropriate.

Relevance of the process

The renewal of the tribunal directly affects a key selection process for the provincial staff, as the six General Administration Technician positions are technical and management roles essential for the functioning of the Provincial Council. The modification of the composition of the evaluating body guarantees the continuity and transparency of the competitive examination process, and is of particular interest both to the registered applicants and to the provincial administration as a whole, which sees the filling of these positions ensured with the provided legal guarantees.
