The Provincial Council of Cáceres sets the Computer Engineer exam for October

The Provincial Council of Cáceres has approved the final list of admitted and excluded applicants for the call for one position of Technical Computer Engineer via a competitive examination process (concurso-oposición) under the internal promotion shift, and has scheduled the competitive examination for October 21, 2026, at 5:00 PM. The resolution is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres (BOP) number 0198, corresponding to Thursday, October 15, 2026, with official reference BOP-2026-4813.

One mid-level technician position reserved for staff

The resolution was issued on October 13, 2026, by the Provincial Deputy Delegate for the Area of Human Resources Management, SEPEI, and Occupational Risk Prevention, by delegation of the President of the provincial corporation. The announced position corresponds to the Special Administration Scale, Technical Subscale, Mid-Level Technician Class, Group A, Subgroup A2, of the civil servant staff of the Provincial Council of Cáceres.

The process is handled through a competitive examination procedure and is reserved for internal promotion, in accordance with the rules of the call. The final list will be made public on the electronic Notice Board, located on the electronic headquarters of the provincial institution, and the announcement refers to the Council’s employment calls portal.

Only one admitted and five exclusions

The annex of the resolution lists a single admitted applicant and five excluded:

• José Julio Vidal Barrantes, sole admitted applicant (DNI *4653).
• Adrián Barrado Castro, excluded.
• Alba María Castaño Martín, excluded.
• Jorge de Sande Martínez, excluded.
• Pablo Hurtado Méndez, excluded.
• José Manuel Valhondo Monroy, excluded.

The five excluded applicants are so for the same two reasons: failure to submit a participation request in accordance with rule 3.1 of the call and failure to meet the requirement established in rule 2.2.

Exam on October 21 at the Provincial Palace

The competitive examination will take place on October 21, 2026, at 5:00 PM in the Vice Presidency Room of the Provincial Palace, located in the Plaza de Santa María de Cáceres. The purpose of publishing the resolution is to inform the definitively admitted applicants of the date and location of the test, which will be held just six days after the dissemination of the announcement.

Appeal deadlines

The resolution is final in administrative proceedings, as provided for in article 88.3 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. The following may be filed against it:

• Contentious-administrative appeal before the court of said jurisdiction in Cáceres, within a period of two months from its publication.
• Optionally, a request for reversal (recurso de reposición) before the Presidency, within a period of one month from its notification.

The call leaves the process in the hands of a single applicant, such that the filling of the position will depend on whether they pass the exercise scheduled for October 21; if they do not, the Provincial Council (Diputación) must resolve the continuity of the selection procedure.
