La Diputación de Cáceres destina 200.000 euros a mujeres rurales de mancomunidades

The Provincial Council of Cáceres has opened the call for grants under a direct award regime intended for the Mancomunidades (Associations of Municipalities) of the Province to promote the visibility, participation, and empowerment of women in rural, economic, and social development during 2026. The summary is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres no. 0191, dated October 6, 2026, with the reference BOP-2026-4649 and a total amount of 200,000 euros. The regulatory rules were approved on September 30, 2026, by resolution of the First Vice-Presidency of Territory, Equality, and Culture.

The call is framed within the jurisdictional competence of article 36.d of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, and is governed by the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17, its Regulation (Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21), the General Grants Ordinance of the Provincial Council, and the 2026 Budget Execution Bases. It is incorporated into the Strategic Grants Plan approved by presidential resolution on January 12, 2026.

The file is listed in the National Grants Database with the identifier BDNS 932966, and the effectiveness of the call is subject to the publication of its summary in the BOP. The Provincial Council justifies the direct award on the basis that all mancomunidades are beneficiaries and there is no competition between them, which provides agility to the administrative processing.

Eligible strategies and excluded expenses

Projects must respond to strategies such as recovering collective memory with a gender perspective, making visible the contribution of women to the construction of the provincial territory, dismantling stereotypes, promoting female leadership, and strengthening associationism. An intersectional approach and participatory methodologies are required, involving the Equality Offices, the educational community, and the female associative movement.

Personnel costs, travel, leases, materials, supplies, and other services will be eligible for subsidies; costs for meals, catering, food, or accommodation are permitted up to 10% of the granted amount. Investment costs, repair, maintenance, and conservation costs, prizes, and leisure activities without a gender perspective are excluded.

The call provides resources to the associations of municipalities (mancomunidades) of Cáceres to finance projects that make visible the role of women in rural areas, a field where the Provincial Council recognizes persistent inequalities. For local entities and the associative fabric of the province, the calendar sets an application window of twenty business days and an execution year that extends until November 2027.
