La Diputación de Cáceres abre ayudas formativas para industria y tecnología

The Provincial Council of Cáceres has opened a call for grants under a direct award system with an open call to finance training proposals from companies in the industrial and technological sectors. The regulatory bases and the summary are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres no. 0194, dated October 9, 2026, with references BOP-2026-4746 and BOP-2026-4747. Interested companies may submit their application until November 16, 2026.

The call is endowed with 250,000 euros, allocated in the General Budget of the Provincial Council for 2026 under the application CONVOC. CURSOS FORMACION- PROMOC. ECONOM. Y ACTIV.EMPL. TECNOLOGICO 04.2417.47001, which started at 100,000 euros and was increased by 150,000 euros through budget modification no. 86/2026, via credit transfers and Presidential Resolution. The grants are subject to the de minimis regime of Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/2831 of December 13, 2023, which has a limit of 300,000 euros per single enterprise over a period of three years.

The Provincial Council supports the measure based on its competence to collaborate in the promotion of economic and social development (Article 36.1.d of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime) and Article 21 of Law 3/2019, of May 21. The text frames the initiative within the arrival of large industrial projects in the province: the lithium battery gigafactory of the Chinese multinational Envision in Navalmoral de la Mata, the semiconductor diamond factory of the American company Diamond Foundry in Trujillo, and the Iberian Center for Energy Storage Research in Cáceres. As background, the Provincial Council conducted a prospecting and training needs detection study in 2023 and, since 2024, has maintained focus groups with companies in the sector together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Amount and eligible expenses

The grant can cover up to 100% of the delivery cost, with a limit of 59,999.99 euros per project, which is below the 60,000 euro threshold that allows for a simplified justification account. The grants are 100% prepayable and do not require the establishment of any guarantee.

The reference economic module is 70 euros per hour of training. The budget allows for the remuneration of training personnel, rental or depreciation of equipment, didactic and consumable materials, accident and civil liability insurance for students, advertising, and indirect costs. Subcontracting of the subsidized activities is not permitted.

Who can apply

  • Companies from the industrial and technological sectors, regardless of their legal form, with headquarters or a workplace in the province or a firm commitment to establish themselves.
  • Companies located in the rest of Spain that have the logistics, human resources, and materials necessary to provide the training in Cáceres.
  • Entities classified in the CNAE-2025 divisions detailed in the guidelines, including metallurgy (24), manufacture of computer and electronic products (26), manufacture of machinery (28), electric power supply (35), telecommunications (61), computer programming and consultancy (62), research and development (72), and education (85).
  • Each entity may submit a single application with a single project.

Training and students

The training actions must respond to hard-to-fill profiles: electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance; MIG/MAG, coated electrode, and TIG welding; mechatronics, collaborative robotics, and PLC programming; artificial intelligence applied to industrial processes; digitalization, Cloud solutions, Big Data, cybersecurity, IoT, circular economy, renewables, energy efficiency, lean manufacturing, computer numerical control (CNC) machines, and logistics.

Each course must have a minimum of ten target participants, of whom at least 75% must be unemployed; up to 25% may be employees of the subsidized company itself. Companies must provide facilities, classrooms, workshops, equipment, and teaching staff, and must take out accident insurance before the start of the training action.

  • Applications: from the day following the publication of the summary until November 16, 2026.
  • Execution of the activity: until December 31, 2027.
