The Provincial Council of Badajoz has definitively granted 1,109,791.38 euros from the 2026 Investment Plan for smaller local entities to fifteen pedanías (hamlets) in the province. The resolution, signed by President Raquel del Puerto Miranda, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 189, dated October 2, 2026, under reference Announcement 3805/2026. Payment will be made in advance, with subsequent justification of the funds.
The Plan was created by agreement of the Plenary of the provincial institution on April 30, 2026, through a budgetary modification in the form of an extraordinary credit endowed with 1,125,000.00 euros, charged to application 13/4590/76801-1100. The call was first resolved provisionally in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 145, dated July 31, 2026 (Announcement 3016/2026), and the deadline for submitting applications ended on August 17, 2026, at 11:59 PM.
Following the report from the Head of the Transparency, Quality, and Citizen Service on September 3, 2026, and the certificate from the Secretary General on September 4, it was verified that the fifteen applications were submitted on time via the electronic office and met the required criteria. The difference between the available credit and the amount finally granted, 15,208.62 euros, will be canceled once the mandatory auditing report has been issued.

Advance payments are expressly excluded from the obligation to provide a guarantee, surety bond, or any other financial guarantee.
The resolution specifies, however, that no amount may be paid to the beneficiary entities as long as they are not up to date with their obligations to the State Treasury, Social Security, and the Provincial Council itself.
Regulatory framework and publicity
The Provincial Municipal Cooperation Plan, definitively approved in the corporate Plenary session of December 19, 2025, and modified by plenary agreement on February 27, 2026, constitutes the specific regulations and serves as the regulatory bases, with the General Subsidies Law and its Regulations applying supplementarily. The Provincial Council’s Strategic Subsidies Plan for 2026, approved by the Governing Board on January 30, 2026, and the General Provincial Subsidies Ordinance are also applicable.
The publication in the provincial bulletin is supported by Article 45 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on Common Administrative Procedure, and the dissemination on the Provincial Council’s website by Article 8.1.c) of Law 19/2013, of December 9, on transparency. The document is also signed by the Chief Clerk and Acting Secretary General, María Fernanda Rubio Cortés.
The measure injects direct financing into pedanías (sub-municipal districts) with limited treasury capacity, which may execute their investments without advancing their own funds or providing guarantees. For the residents of these fifteen nuclei, the agreement opens the way to undertake municipal works that would otherwise be beyond the reach of their budgets.
