Por FactBox Admin

The Plenary of the Provincial Council of Badajoz initially approved, in a session held on September 30, 2026, modification file no. 02/2026 of the investment annex of the provincial institution’s budget for 2026. The agreement is now published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz no. 209, of Friday, October 30, 2026, under announcement 4302/2026, and opens a fifteen-day period of public exhibition during which interested parties may examine the file and submit claims to the Plenary.
The announcement is issued by the Functional Area of Sustainable Economy, Strategic Procurement, and Heritage of the Provincial Council of Badajoz, the department entrusted with the budgetary management of the general entity. The modification affects the investment annex, the instrument that organizes the investment projects financed by the provincial budget of the current fiscal year.
The published text does not detail the amounts or the specific projects included in this second modification of the annex, which must be consulted in the complete file. The plenary agreement was also adopted with the prior favorable report of the Information Commission on Sustainable Economy, Strategic Procurement, and Heritage, meeting on September 25, 2026, as recorded in the Plenary agreements published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz no. 190, of October 5, 2026 (announcement 3853/2026).
Fifteen days to examine the file and file objections
The public exhibition period is set at 15 days and is supported by the 9th base of the execution bases of the general entity’s current budgets and by article 169 of Royal Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the consolidated text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries.
- Deadline: fifteen days from the publication of the announcement in the provincial gazette.
- Where to examine it: at the Directorate of the Area of Sustainable Economy, Strategic Procurement, and Heritage.
- Electronic consultation: at the address https://economia.dip-badajoz.es/presupuestos.
- Objections: must be submitted to the Plenary of the provincial corporation.
Final approval if there are no claims
The file will be definitively approved if no claim is submitted during the aforementioned period. Otherwise, the Plenary will have one month to resolve them, as specified in the official announcement itself.
The processing is based on the plenary agreement of September 30, 2026, adopted unanimously by the attending deputies, in an ordinary session attended by 25 of the 27 members of the corporation, in which Lourdes Linares and Ricardo Cabezas excused their attendance.
Signature of the announcement and budgetary precedents
The announcement is signed in Badajoz on behalf of the President, by virtue of delegation, by the 2nd Vice President and Delegated Deputy for the Area of Sustainable Economy, Strategic Procurement, and Heritage, Carmen Yáñez Quirós, in accordance with the delegation published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz no. 206, supplement I, announcement 4611, of October 29, 2025. The President of the corporation is Raquel del Puerto Carrasco.
In the same plenary session at the end of September, the provincial corporation also approved the general account for the 2025 financial year, comprising the Provincial Council, its autonomous bodies, and dependent consortia, for auditing by the Court of Auditors and the Ministry of Finance and Civil Service.
The modification of the investment annex directly affects the city councils and smaller local entities of the province, as well as the companies aspiring to execute works financed with provincial funds: the fifteen days of public exhibition are the only window to review the details of the actions and to challenge the distribution before the file is closed and the allocations become final.
