The Provincial Council of Badajoz opens a job bank for photographer-videographer

The Provincial Council of Badajoz has called for selective tests to establish a job bank for Photographer/Videographer, corresponding to group C, qualification subgroup C1, according to Announcement 3476/2026 published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 169, dated September 3, 2026. The call responds to urgent service needs and is processed through the Functional Area of Public Employees, Occupational Health and Safety.
The call is supported by Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30, which approves the revised text of the Basic Statute of Public Employees Act, articles 96 and following of Law 13/2015, of April 8, on the Public Service of Extremadura, and the Regulations for the operation of the job banks of the Provincial Council of Badajoz and its autonomous bodies, published in the BOP on January 30, 2020. The selection system is a competitive examination (oposición), without a merit assessment phase.
Requirements and fees
Applicants must meet the requirements by the end date of the application submission period:
- Hold Spanish nationality or meet the requirements of article 57 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015.
- Possess the functional capacity to perform the tasks, with adaptations for people with disabilities.
- Be at least sixteen years of age and not exceed the maximum compulsory retirement age.
- Not have been dismissed through disciplinary proceedings nor be disqualified from exercising public functions.
- Hold a High School Diploma (Bachiller) or Technical degree, or equivalent.
- Hold a valid Class B driver’s license.
- Have paid the examination fee.
The fee amounts to 22.66 euros for the general rate and 11.33 euros for unemployed persons. Special category large families and victims of terrorism, their spouses or domestic partners and children, are exempt, while general category large families and unemployed persons enjoy a 50% discount.
Deadline and registration
The period for submitting the application will be 10 business days, counting from the day following the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz. Registration must be carried out through the corporate electronic office of the Provincial Council of Badajoz, for which a digital certificate must be available; the failure to submit the application or pay the fee will not be subject to correction.
Selection process
The call for applications will be resolved through a competitive examination process, with a maximum of 10 points. Admitted candidates must pass a theoretical multiple-choice test consisting of 50 questions, plus 5 reserve questions, with three alternative answers, to be completed within a maximum of sixty minutes. Each correct answer adds 0.2 points and each incorrect answer subtracts 0.1, with a minimum of 5 points required to pass the exercise.
The Selection Board will consist of five members (a presidency, three vocals, and a secretariat), with an equal number of substitutes, and the order of action in the exercises will be alphabetical, starting with the letter “B”, in accordance with the resolution of June 29, 2026, of the State Secretariat for Public Function. The syllabus, contained in Annex I, covers 20 topics including the Spanish Constitution, local government regulations and risk prevention, as well as technical content on photography, video, lighting, audiovisual assembly, and graphic design. The announcement is signed by the Third Vice President and Delegate Deputy of the Area, Ramón Díaz Farias.
The call represents an opportunity for public employment applicants in the province interested in the audiovisual field, who may opt for a job bank intended to cover interim appointments and temporary contracts to meet the urgent service needs of the Provincial Council of Badajoz.
