Por FactBox Admin

The Governing Board of the Provincial Council of Alicante approved and awarded contract S6B-203/2026 for the supply of electrical energy with a 100 percent renewable guarantee of origin to the provincial institution for the 2026-2028 period. The agreement was adopted in the ordinary session held on September 28, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante number 188, dated October 2, 2026, within section III. Local Administration, in the summary of agreements with reference 7405/2026. The awarded company is Iberdrola Clientes, SAU.
The contract is processed as a contract based on the framework agreement AMS6O-040/2026, titled “Framework agreement for the supply of electrical energy with a 100 percent renewable guarantee of origin to be managed by the Procurement Center of the Provincial Council of Alicante.” The award is governed by the specific administrative clauses and technical specifications of that framework agreement and its subsequent based contracts, and is granted to the company that already holds the status of an original party to it.
The session, of an ordinary nature, also addressed other procurement, personnel, and patrimonial liability files, all of which are included in the same official summary.
Energy with renewable guarantee of origin
File S6B-203/2026 covers the electricity supply of the Provincial Council of Alicante during the 2026-2028 triennium, with the requirement that the energy supplied has a 100 percent renewable guarantee of origin. The Governing Board approved the procurement and, in the same agreement, its award to Iberdrola Clientes, SAU.
The contract is supported by the provincial Procurement Center, which acts as the contracting body for framework agreement AMS6O-040/2026 and the contracts derived from it. The publication of the summary in the official gazette opens public knowledge of the award to bidders and suppliers in the energy sector.
Disposable tableware for care centers
The Board also awarded the two lots of contract S5O-300/2025 for the supply of disposable tableware for centers dependent on the Council:
- Lot 1, S5O-300/2025 L1: supply of disposable tableware to the Doctor Esquerdo Center.
- Lot 2, S5O-300/2025 L2: supply of disposable tableware to the “Antonio Fernández Valenzuela” Provincial Home.
Both lots were awarded to the bidder FUMISAN, SL, the first bidder in the positional order of classification in each case.
In the same area of supplies, it was agreed to readjust the execution and financial annual payments of contract S6O-156/2025-L1, for the supply of yogurts, flans, and other desserts to the Doctor Esquerdo Center, awarded to Pedro Antonio Reyes Beneit, to correct the discrepancy between the initially planned annual payments and the actual execution needs.
Personnel, job banks, and a dismissive ruling
Regarding personnel, the Board approved the call and the rules of the merit-based competition for the permanent filling of the positions of Porter’s Delegate (Internal Regime), BOP Manager, and Transparency Portal Manager (Transparency, BOP, and Printing), as well as the call and rules of the selection process to establish a Job Bank for Equipment Operators. Likewise, a career civil servant was appointed, via competitive examination and open entry, to a position as an Early Childhood Education Teacher within the provincial staff.
The Board was informed of ruling number 299, dated July 20, 2026, issued by the Contentious-Administrative Section of the Court of First Instance of Alicante, Court No. 1, which dismisses the appeal filed against the resolutions of the Provincial Council dismissing the allegations regarding a question in the first exercise of the selection process for 21 positions for Nursing Degree holders. The draft minutes of the previous ordinary session, dated September 21, 2026, were also approved.
The awarding of the renewable electricity supply consolidates the commitment of the Provincial Council of Alicante to the aggregate purchase of energy through its Procurement Center and offers companies in the sector a stable reference framework until 2028. For supply providers, the session also results in two awarded lots of tableware and an adjustment of annual payments, while applicants for public employment now have the rules for three positions and a new job bank.
