The Provincial Council corrects the amounts of the agricultural security grants

The Provincial Council of Ávila has published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) of Ávila number 168, dated September 1, 2026, a correction of errors regarding the regulatory bases for subsidies aimed at improving health and safety conditions in workplaces within the agricultural sector in municipalities with fewer than 2,000 inhabitants. The correction, adopted by resolution of the President on August 26, 2026, clarifies the maximum aid caps per beneficiary.

The announcement, processed by the Rural Development and Environment department, modifies the seventh base of the call, initially approved by resolution of the President on July 24, 2026, and published in the BOP on August 14, 2026. The rectification is disseminated in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17.

What changes in the seventh base

The previous wording stated that the maximum amount of the subsidy could not exceed 30% of the total cost of the expenses listed in the fifth base, sections 1 and 2, nor 60% in other cases, with a maximum amount of 20,000 euros for the former and 30,000 euros for the latter. The new wording specifies that these percentages apply up to those maximum amounts:

• Expenses from the fifth base, sections 1 and 2: maximum of 30% of the total cost and up to 20,000 euros.
• Other expenses: maximum of 60% of the total and up to 30,000 euros.
• Only one application may be submitted per interested party, which will be granted according to the order of preference indicated in the application.
• The maximum per beneficiary is set at 30,000 euros.

Recipients and scope

The grants are aimed at farmers and self-employed workers in the rural areas of Ávila, as well as agricultural sector centers and workplaces located in municipalities with fewer than 2,000 inhabitants in the province of Ávila. The correction does not alter the purpose of the call, but rather clarifies the interpretation of the maximum amounts and the compatibility of the aid.

The correction provides legal certainty to potential beneficiaries, who now know precisely the economic limits of the aid and the conditions for submitting applications. For the small municipalities of Ávila, where safety in agricultural holdings is a priority, this clarification facilitates access to key subsidies to improve working conditions in the primary sector.
