The Provincial Council announces 20,000 euros in funding for the Serrana Negra cattle breed

The Provincial Council of Burgos has announced grants totaling 20,000 euros for the livestock sector of the Serrana Negra bovine breed in the province, under the call SN/2026. The agreement was adopted on August 13, 2026, by the institution’s Governing Board, and its summary is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos number 159, dated August 24, 2026, with official reference BOPBUR-2026-03582.

The call is processed under a competitive bidding system and aims to regulate the granting of aid intended for the maintenance, expansion, and diversification of the production of this native breed throughout the province. Beneficiaries and requirements

• The acquisition of breeding stock.
• The establishment of new professional herds.
• Cultural use linked to the breed.

Amount and eligible actions

The total budget for the call amounts to 20,000 euros, charged to budget application 45/4190/789.03/2.4 of the general budget of the Provincial Council of Burgos for the year 2026. The authorization of expenditure is subject to the existence of credit in the 2026 fiscal year.

Actions carried out between January 1 and November 10, 2026, may be subsidized.

Deadline and submission

Applications must be submitted within one month starting from the day following the publication of the summary of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province. The full guidelines, annexes, and corresponding documentation are available to interested parties on the electronic headquarters of the Provincial Council of Burgos.
