La Diputación concede 29,2 millones del Plan +Cerca a 92 ayuntamientos

The Provincial Council of Alicante has granted current expenditure subsidies from the Plan +Cerca 2026 (2nd Phase) to the 92 municipalities with more than 1,000 inhabitants in the province, for a total amount of 29,216,326.54 euros. The decision was adopted via the President’s Decree no. 2026-4395, dated September 30, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante (BOP) no. 188, dated October 2, 2026, section III (Local Administration), announcement 7537.

The resolution is issued under the call modified by plenary agreement on July 21, 2026, published in BOP no. 137, dated July 23, 2026, which established the new “Subsidy Table per Local Entity.” The text applies the second and fifth sections of that agreement and Provision 21 of the call, without the need to establish an order of priority among the applications submitted.

This second phase completes the operation initiated weeks earlier: BOP no. 185, dated September 29, 2026, announcement 7398, published Decree no. 2026-4333, dated September 28, regarding the aid destined for municipalities of up to 1,000 inhabitants, which are added to those already advanced by Decree no. 2581, dated June 8, 2026.

92 municipalities and 29.2 million euros

Annex 1 of the resolution details the beneficiary entities, their CIF (Tax ID), the 2025 population, and the amount granted. The expenditure is charged to application 31.9201.4620100 of the current Provincial Budget.

  • City Council of Alacant/Alicante: 366,221 inhabitants, 500,000.00 euros.
  • City Council of Elche/Elx: 245,557 inhabitants, 500,000.00 euros.
  • City Council of Torrevieja: 98,533 inhabitants, 500,000.00 euros.
  • City Council of Orihuela: 84,560 inhabitants, 500,000.00 euros.
  • City Council of Benidorm: 77,327 inhabitants, 460,959.04 euros.
  • City Council of Alcoi/Alcoy: 61,468 inhabitants, 482,202.00 euros.
  • City Council of Dénia: 44,300 inhabitants, 435,750.00 euros.
  • City Council of Parcent: 1,037 inhabitants, 206,592.00 euros.
  • City Council of Beniarrés: 1,117 inhabitants, 241,382.00 euros.
  • E.A.T.I.M. City Council of La Xara: 2,002 inhabitants, 222,032.00 euros.

The amounts range from 189,920.00 euros for Benidoleig to the half million euros received by the four largest cities in the province. The table also includes municipalities such as Xàbia/Jávea (411,605.00 euros), Crevillent (427,302.50), Petrer (435,055.00), Villena (436,780.00), Santa Pola (424,272.50), or Elda (427,833.00).

100% Advance and justification calendar

The decree orders the advance payment of 100% of the granted amount to each city council that has not expressly waived the advance, in accordance with Provision 16 of the call. The justification deadlines are divided into two scenarios:

  • City councils that did not waive the advance: justification until February 5, 2027, with no possibility of exceeding that date.
  • City councils that waived the advance: justification until October 23, 2026.

Mandatory publicity and appeal process

Beneficiaries must disseminate the provincial funding on their social networks, indicating at a minimum the name of the work or intended purpose, the name of the call for applications, and the total amount of the grant received, along with the institutional image of the Provincial Council. Failure to comply with this obligation will result in reimbursement, according to article 36.5 of the General Grant Ordinance.

Against the resolution, which ends the administrative process, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed within one month before the body that issued the act, or an administrative appeal may be filed within two months before the Court of First Instance of Alacant/Alicante, in accordance with Law 39/2015 and Law 29/1998. The announcement appears signed by the director of the Municipal Assistance Area, the second vice-president and deputy for General Administration and Finance, and the general secretary.

The publication closes the annual distribution of the Plan +Cerca and provides certainty to municipal treasuries: city councils now know the exact amount they will receive, the justification calendar, and the publicity conditions, while the Provincial Council ensures expenditure control through the budgetary application 31.9201.4620100 and the requirement of reimbursement in case of non-compliance.
