The Vice Presidency of the Institute for Cooperation with Local Finance (I.C.H.L.) of Córdoba has approved the collection registers for the Mechanical Traction Vehicle Tax (IVTM) for the 2026 fiscal year, corresponding to 75 municipalities in the province. The decision, adopted by Decree of the Presidency of the Institute on August 18, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 169, dated September 1, 2026 (reference BOP-A-2026-2961).
The measure affects virtually all municipalities in Córdoba, from Adamuz and Aguilar de la Frontera to Villaviciosa de Córdoba and Zuheros, and opens the collection calendar for the tax levied on the ownership of mechanical traction vehicles.
Regulatory Framework and Public Exhibition
The notification of the settlements contained in the registers is carried out collectively, pursuant to Article 102.3 of Law 58/2003, of December 17, General Tax Law, and Article 86 of the General Ordinance for the Management, Inspection, and Collection of Public Law Income of the Provincial Council of Córdoba.
The registers shall be open for public inspection for one month from their publication in the BOP at each City Hall, on the edicts board of the Institute’s Electronic Office (sede.haciendalocal.es), and at the Organization’s Public Service offices.
Payment Deadline and Appeals
The voluntary payment period extends from September 1 to November 3, 2026, both inclusive. Once this period has elapsed, debts will be demanded through the enforcement procedure and will accrue executive period surcharges, late payment interest, and, where applicable, costs.
An appeal for reversal may be filed against the settlements in accordance with Article 14.2 of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, within one month from the day following the end of the public exhibition period. It may be submitted at the headquarters, located at calle Reyes Católicos, number 17 in Córdoba, or at any other office of the Organization in the province.
