La Diputación aprueba las subvenciones definitivas a asociaciones de mujeres

The Governing Board of the Provincial Council of Guadalajara approved, in its session on September 9, 2026, the final resolution of the grant awarding procedure for the development and implementation of programs by women’s associations in the province during the year 2026. The agreement, adopted unanimously (five votes in favor, none against, and no abstentions), is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara number 174, dated September 11, 2026, and corresponds to file 2217/2026.

The resolution, signed by the president of the Council, José Luis Vega Pérez, grants aid to a total of 55 women’s associations distributed across rural municipalities throughout the province, with amounts ranging from 181.46 euros to 2,000.00 euros. The aid is subject to the final justification of the subsidized activities.

A procedure with an appeals phase

The call was provisionally resolved by the Governing Board on July 28, 2026, and published in BOP number 148, dated August 5, 2026. During that phase, interested parties were granted a period of 10 business days to submit allegations, claims, or documents, and beneficiaries were permitted to reformulate their applications to align them with the proposed amounts, provided that the object, conditions, and purpose of the grant were respected.

Following the end of the appeals period on August 19, 2026, a single written submission was received, presented by the María Medel Cultural Association, whose allegations were evaluated in a specific report by the instructing body and ultimately dismissed. During the same period, the submitted reformulation requests were accepted, as it was found that they did not affect the object or purpose of the aid nor increase the proposed amounts.

Beneficiary entities and programs

The aid finances two types of programs: recreational and cultural activities, and programs for the improvement of physical or intellectual capacity. Among the beneficiary entities are, among others:

  • Afammer Association of relatives and women from rural areas (El Casar), €511.38.
  • Seguntinas Housewives Association (Sigüenza), €1,497.00.
  • Fray Melchor de Prego Cano Women’s Association (Illana), €2,000.00.
  • Villa de Almoguera Housewives Association (Almoguera), €1,905.03.
  • Sacecorbo Women’s Association (Sacecorbo), €1,755.49.
  • Yebra Women of the 2000 Association (Yebra), €1,710.27.
  • Marchamalo Women’s Association (Marchamalo), €1,672.62.
  • Prado de Valderrebollo Women’s Association (Valderrebollo), €1,681.26.

Along with the grant, the agreement denies the application of the Asociación de Familias y Mujeres de Ámbito Rural (AFMAR) of Guadalajara, file 3926/2026, for failing to provide, despite the request during the correction phase, the mandatory documents proving its status as a beneficiary.

Obligations and deadlines

Beneficiary entities are obliged to comply with the obligations derived from obtaining the aid and to submit the justifying account by the deadline of October 31, 2026, under the terms of the fifteenth base of the call. This resolution ends the administrative process and may be appealed for reversal within one month from the day following its publication, or challenged directly before the contentious-administrative section of the court of first instance of Guadalajara within two months.

The publication of this final resolution guarantees the financing of equality and social cohesion activities promoted by women’s associations in the rural municipalities of the province, an associative network key to retaining population and sustaining social life in the territory.
