The Provincial Council approves the 2026 municipal coordination plan

The Plenary Session of the Provincial Council of Huesca, in an ordinary session held on September 3, 2026, agreed to initially approve the Provincial Plan for Municipal Economic Coordination for 2026, intended for the maintenance and repair of municipal services, for a total amount of 3,004,485.00 euros. The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 172, dated September 9, 2026, with reference BOPH-2026-172001.
The plan is displayed to the public on the Corporation’s Notice Board so that interested parties may examine it and submit allegations within a period of 10 days from publication, in compliance with Article 32.3 of Royal Legislative Decree 781/1986, of April 18, which approves the revised text of the legal provisions in force regarding the Local Regime.
An instrument of economic cooperation
Municipal economic coordination is the mechanism by which the Provincial Council of Huesca transfers resources to the municipalities of the province to finance works and services under municipal jurisdiction. In this 2026 edition, the plan is specifically oriented toward the maintenance and repair of municipal services, a line of action affecting all municipalities in the Huesca territory.
The approved amount, 3,004,485.00 euros, will be distributed among the province’s city councils according to the distribution criteria established by the plan itself, which remains subject to public information before its final approval.
Period for allegations and procedure
During the public exhibition period, any interested party may examine the file and submit allegations. The plan will be considered definitively approved in the event that no allegations are submitted, proceeding then to the timely publication of said final approval.
