The Provincial Council approves 11,370 euros in sports grants for provincial clubs

The Provincial Council of Ciudad Real has approved the inclusion of 11,370.00 euros in nominative sports grants for seven entities in the province, according to the announcement published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) of Ciudad Real, number 172, dated September 8, 2026. The decision was adopted by the Plenary in an ordinary session held on September 4, 2026.

The agreement modifies the Forty-First Base of those regulating the current budget, incorporating the aid into the budgetary application 59900.34100.489, titled “Nominative Grants. Area for the Promotion of Identity and Traditions in the Province (Sports)”. The announcement corresponds to number 2867 and is signed by the president of the institution, Miguel Ángel Valverde Menchero.

Beneficiaries and amounts

The grants are distributed among clubs and competitions of various disciplines, with amounts ranging from 370 to 4,000 euros:

  • CD Pádel Bibi — Quijote Pádel Circuit 2026: 2,500.00 €
  • CC Almagreño — Cycling event valid for the Castilla-La Mancha Championship: 1,000.00 €
  • CD Alma Matter Ciudad Real — 4th Edition AMF4 Combat Sports: 1,500.00 €
  • CD Azuer Tenis y Pádel — Participation in the 2026 Spanish Cadet Tennis Championship: 1,000.00 €
  • Javier Megia Ciudad — Participation in International Trail Running Competition: 1,000.00 €
  • CD Deportes Malagón — I National Youth Football Tournament: 4,000.00 €
  • Club Ajedrez Villarrubia de los Ojos — I International Chess Festival: 370.00 €

The processing is supported by article 169.1, to which 177.2 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, is referred, which approves the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries. In compliance with this regulation, the file is submitted for public information for the purpose of possible claims.

The period for submitting allegations is fifteen business days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province and on the Council’s notice board. The document, consisting of 13 pages, was electronically signed by the Head of the BOP Section, Juan Luis Cuadros Campo, on September 7, 2026.

Provincial impact

The allocation reinforces the Council’s support for grassroots sports and competitions at the provincial and national levels, with particular emphasis on youth football in Malagón, which holds the largest individual amount with 4,000 euros. The distribution benefits municipalities and entities throughout the province, from Villarrubia de los Ojos to Almagro, consolidating the sports circuit as a tool for promoting local identity and traditions.
