The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Zamora, number 102, dated September 2, 2026, and applications may be submitted until September 30, 2026.
The call, signed on September 1, 2026, is processed through the Works Service of the Provincial Council and is listed in the National Grants Database with the identifier BDNS 927189. The extract is published in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17.
Beneficiaries and objective
All municipalities and entities with a territorial scope smaller than a municipality in the province of Zamora with a population of fewer than 20,000 inhabitants may apply for these grants, which affects practically all Zamoran city councils. The objective is to finance eligible works and actions that are, in a justified manner, necessary for the management of their interests and competencies, pursuant to articles 25 and 26 of the Law 7/85, of April 2, on the Bases of the Local Regime, as amended by Law 27/2013.
Eligible actions
The execution of works affecting the public services provided by the beneficiary entities, as well as the complementary expenses associated with their development, shall be eligible for grants:
- Project drafting and works management.
- Archaeological reports and monitoring.
- Health and safety control.
- Quality control of the work.
These complementary expenses will be subsidized up to a maximum of 6% of the total eligible amount. “Work” is understood as the result of a set of construction or civil engineering tasks intended to fulfill an economic or technical function on a real estate asset by itself, in accordance with article 3 of the Public Sector Contracts Law 9/2017, of November 8 (LCSP).
Amount and deadline
The amount allocated to the call amounts to 8,000,000 euros, which will be charged to the budgetary application 32.459.0 762.06 of the Corporation’s Budgets for the 2026 fiscal year. The regulatory bases were approved by Presidency Decree 2026-5581, of August 31, 2026, and the full text can be consulted in the National Grants Database and on the Provincial Council’s notice board.
Applications and the corresponding documentation are available to interested parties on the electronic office of the Provincial Council of Zamora, through the corresponding electronic procedure. The submission deadline ends on September 30, 2026, counted from the day following the publication of the summary in the official bulletin.
The call, signed by the president of the Council, Javier Faúndez Domínguez, represents one of the largest economic injections of municipal cooperation of the fiscal year and will allow the small town halls of the province to undertake investments in infrastructure and essential public services, in a territory marked by the demographic challenge and the dispersion of its population centers.
