La Diputació destina 57.000 euros a la programació escènica municipal del 2027

The Diputació de Girona has opened the early call for grants for the financing of professional stable programming for multifunctional performing arts and music facilities in the Girona counties during the year 2027, with a budget of 57,000 euros. The agreement of the Governing Board of October 20, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona (BOPG) no. 214, of November 6, 2026, with the reference BOP-2026_0_214_9587, and the deadline for application ends on January 29, 2027.

The call is published as an extract to comply with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general law on grants, and the full text can be consulted in the National Grants Database with the identifier BDNS 939480. The regulatory bases were initially approved by the corporation’s Plenary on July 21, 2026, were published in BOPG no. 143, of July 28, and were definitively approved in BOPG no. 177, of September 15, 2026, once the public information period closed without allegations.

The bases are framed within the Strategic Grants Plan 2024-2027, approved by the Plenary on December 19, 2023, and are managed by the Area of Culture, New Technologies and Sports through the Cultural Cooperation service. The extract is signed by the president of the Diputació, Miquel Noguer i Planas, in Girona, on October 22, 2026.

Deadlines and submission of applications

The timeline for the line begins the day after publication in the BOPG and extends until January 29, 2027. If the last day coincides with a Saturday or a holiday, the deadline is extended to the following business day.

  • Application via the standardized form on the Diputació website, digitally signed by the interested person or the legal representative of the entity.
  • Submission exclusively through the corporation’s grants platform; no other means are accepted.
  • Annexed documentation: the annual project of the facility, in PDF or JPG/PNG and up to 10 MB.
  • Each applicant may only submit one application; if more are submitted, the last one within the deadline will be considered.
  • Prior registration as a creditor of the Diputació on the creditors’ platform, with validated bank details.

Who can apply and with what funding

City councils that own multifunctional performing arts and music facilities in the Girona district may apply. If a municipality has more than one facility of this type, it may only submit one request for a single space. Facilities that already have another specific grant line from the Diputació are excluded.

The total endowment is 57,000 euros, and the distribution by budget applications is estimated. The credit may be expanded by a maximum of 30,000 additional euros from a credit supplement, provided that availability is declared before the resolution and the increase of the call is approved.

Each granted subsidy ranges between 1,000 and 30,000 euros. Eligible expenses include professional stable programming of performing arts and music, communication, promotion, and audience loyalty strategies, ticket sales platforms and support staff, adaptations to virtual or streaming formats, and educational and community programs linked to the performing arts.

Evaluation criteria and process control

Applications are scored out of a maximum of 25 points. Diversity of genres (theater, dance, music, circus, and interdisciplinary) provides up to 2 points, family programming 1 point, and communication and evaluation strategies 0.75 points each. The most heavily weighted block is that of the sustainable development goals, with up to 18 points for gender, accessibility, and environmental sustainability actions; actions that bring culture into the health sector (1.5 points) and the promotion of Catalan (1 point) are also valued.

The Evaluation Commission is chaired by the president of the Information Commission for Culture, New Technologies, and Sports, with the head of the Cultural Cooperation service acting as secretary, along with three technical members and a specialist in cultural production and management. The Governing Board resolves the granting within a maximum period of six months from the closing of the call, and the amount is distributed in descending order of score until the credit is exhausted. Payment provides for an advance of 50% upon acceptance of the subsidy and the remainder once the activity has been justified.

Against the resolution, which exhausts the administrative route, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Section of the Court of First Instance of Girona within two months, or an appeal for reversal before the president within one month.

The call is the main tool with which the Girona city councils sustain the stable season of theater and music in their theaters and auditoriums, such that the advance calendar conditions the ability of small and medium-sized venues to close contracts with professional companies and ensembles before the start of the academic year.
