The Provincial Council of Tarragona announces three permanent staff positions in education and general services

Three calls to fill permanent positions

The Presidency of the Provincial Council of Tarragona resolved on 13 August 2026 to announce three selection processes to fill permanent staff positions of the provincial corporation. The three resolutions —Decrees 2026-0005624, 2026-0005625 and 2026-0005626— were published yesterday in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona (BOPT), dated 17 August 2026, and are supported by the general governing bases of the Provincial Council’s selection processes, in force since the BOPT of 3 November 2022.

The instructing body for the three procedures is the People and Talent Area, specifically the Planning and Organisation – Selection unit. The processes were electronically signed by the deputy secretary Alberto José Arnau Esteller on 13 August 2026.

Worker at the Sant Rafael Special Education Centre

The first call (Call 23-113, CVE 2026-07783) concerns one position of permanent labour staff as worker (APL group), assigned to Administration and Services of the Sant Rafael Special Education Centre of the Provincial Council of Tarragona. It comes from the 2023 public employment offer, approved by resolution of the Governing Board of 12 December 2023.

• Selection system: competitive examination, free turn
• Examination fees: 35 euros
• Specific requirement: certificate of Catalan language knowledge equivalent to intermediate level (B2)

The examination consists of two exercises: a first test of theoretical knowledge and a second involving the resolution of a practical case. Subsequently, the merits of candidates who have passed the examination phase will be assessed.

Maintenance assistant at Building Maintenance

The second call (Call 23-112, CVE 2026-07782) is for one position of career civil servant as maintenance assistant (AP group), assigned to Building Maintenance – General Services of the General Services and Corporate Facilities Area of the Provincial Council. It also comes from the 2023 public employment offer.

• Selection system: competitive examination, free turn
• Examination fees: 35 euros
• Examination syllabus: six blocks including the operation of the Provincial Council, the Mandate Plan, data protection, maintenance work and occupational risk prevention

The appeals regime provides for administrative contentious appeal before the Court of Instance of Tarragona, Administrative Contentious Section, or alternatively a potestative reconsideration appeal before the Presidency of the Provincial Council itself.

Transverse flute teacher at the Conservatory

The third call (Call 24-025, CVE 2026-07784) is the broadest of the three processes (20 pages of specific terms and conditions) and announces one position for permanent labour staff as a transverse flute teacher (group A1L), assigned to the Educational Services of the School and Conservatory of Music of Tarragona. It originates from the 2024 public employment offer, approved by agreement of the Governing Board of 10 December 2024.

• Selection system: competitive examination, open turn
• Remuneration: according to the classification group of the Collective agreement for labour staff of the Provincial Council of Tarragona
• Examination exercises: theoretical test on didactics, education law and sound resources of the transverse flute; practical case on teaching ability; and performance test with instrument

Candidates must accredit a B2 level of Catalan and take part in a selection process that values teaching experience, training delivered and concert activity.

Applications to participate in the three calls may be submitted:

• By electronic means, through the electronic office of the Provincial Council of Tarragona (https://seuelectronica.dipta.cat/)
• In person, at the registration assistance offices of the Provincial Council, located at the Palace of the Provincial Council of Tarragona (Passeig de Sant Antoni, 100) and at the Citizen Service Office (Rambla Nova, 50)
• Through the Postal service
