La Confederación del Tajo pagará justiprecios de ocho fincas expropiadas en Cifuentes

The Tagus Hydrographic Confederation has submitted the banking documentation to the Treasury to proceed with the payment of compensation in the form of fair price (justiprecio) established by the Provincial Compulsory Expropriation Jury of Guadalajara to the owners of assets and rights of eight estates in the municipality of Cifuentes. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara (BOP) No. 188, corresponding to Friday, October 2, 2026, within the compulsory expropriation file under the urgency procedure derived from the power line phase of the water supply to the nuclei adjacent to the Entrepeñas and Buendía reservoirs.

The process is driven by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, which on September 24, 2026, submitted the necessary banking documentation to the Treasury to make the payments effective. The file derives from the supply project for the future association of nuclei adjacent to the Entrepeñas and Buendía reservoirs (Guadalajara and Cuenca), in its power line phase, identified with the code 03.399.001/2111.

The publication is carried out for the purposes provided for in Article 49 of the Compulsory Expropriation Regulations, which develops the Compulsory Expropriation Law of December 16, 1954. The announcement appears signed in Madrid on September 29, 2026, by the Secretary General, Álvaro Agustín de Torres Suárez.

The eight affected estates in Cifuentes

The announcement details the plots whose owners will receive the fair price, all of them in the municipality of Cifuentes and in polygon 23:

  • Estate EX15/04-00/0018, polygon 23, plot 00045.
  • Estate EX15/04-00/0020, polygon 23, plot 00053.
  • Estate EX15/04-00/0021, polygon 23, plot 00054.
  • Estate EX15/04-00/0035, polygon 23, plot 00142.
  • Estate EX15/04-00/0036, polygon 23, plot 00143.
  • Estate EX15/04-00/0037, polygon 23, plot 00144.
  • Estate EX15/04-00/0038, polygon 23, plot 00145.
  • Estate EX15/04-00/0042, polygon 23, plot 00150.

Payment by transfer or deposit in the General Deposit Fund

Payment will be made via bank transfer to the account designated by the interested parties. Those amounts whose payment cannot be made effective through this route will be deposited in the General Deposit Fund (Caja General de Depósitos) at the disposal of the interested parties; once they rectify the circumstance that led to the deposit, the Hydrographic Confederation will proceed to carry out the appropriate procedures to make the payment effective.

The announcement does not detail the individual amounts of each fair price, which are established by the resolution of the Provincial Compulsory Expropriation Jury of Guadalajara.

A process repeated in the same municipality

This is not the first publication of this type in Cifuentes. In the BOP No. 176, dated September 15, 2026, the same Tagus Hydrographic Confederation publicized the payment of fair prices for eleven estates in the municipality, in that case within the compulsory expropriation file under the urgency procedure for the project to complete the water supply works for the future water association of the towns adjacent to the Entrepeñas and Buendía reservoirs, with key 03.399.0012/2111 and signed on September 10, 2026.

Both announcements share the same scheme: the Tagus Hydrographic Confederation acts as the beneficiary and processor, the Provincial Compulsory Expropriation Jury of Guadalajara sets the fair price, and the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge authorizes and recognizes the payment obligation.

Impact for the owners

The publication in the official bulletin opens the way for the owners of the eight estates in Cifuentes to collect the compensations already set by the Provincial Compulsory Expropriation Jury, a step that administratively closes the valuation of the assets and rights affected by the power line for the water supply to the towns in the surroundings of Entrepeñas and Buendía. Interested parties who cannot receive payment by transfer must regularize their situation so that the Tagus Hydrographic Confederation can release the amounts deposited in the General Deposit Fund.
