The Tagus Confederation will pay late payment interest for expropriated estates in Pareja

Por FactBox Admin

La Confederación del Tajo pagará intereses de demora por fincas expropiadas en Pareja

The Tagus Hydrographic Confederation will pay compensation in the form of late payment interest to the owners of assets and rights of 27 estates in the municipality of Pareja, affected by the compulsory expropriation proceedings under the urgency procedure for the water supply works to the nuclei adjacent to the Entrepeñas and Buendía reservoirs. The announcement was published by the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara in issue number 211, corresponding to Wednesday, November 4, 2026, within the compulsory expropriation section. The proposal for authorization, commitment, recognition of the obligation, and payment was signed by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge on October 28, 2026.

An urgency proceeding with key 03.399.001/2121

The payment is part of the compulsory expropriation proceeding processed under the urgency procedure motivated by the works of the “Modified No. 1 of the Supply Project for the future Association of Nuclei Adjacent to the Entrepeñas and Buendía Reservoirs (Guadalajara and Cuenca)”, identified with the key 03.399.001/2121. This key is the same as that appearing in the late payment interest announcements published in recent weeks, meaning the process continues the path opened in previous bulletins.

Late payment interest compensates the owner for the delay in the payment of the fair price once the amount has been fixed by the Provincial Compulsory Expropriation Jury of Guadalajara and the corresponding records have been drawn up. Therefore, this is not the price of the estate, but the additional compensation for the time elapsed until the effective receipt of the recognized amount.

Twenty-seven estates, mostly of a rural nature

The listed estates all belong to the municipality of Pareja and are identified by their internal Confederation file code, their polygon, and their plot:

  • Properties with full cadastral reference and polygon 0: EX13/01-01/17112 (5263916WK2856N), EX13/01-01/17114 (4769405WK2846N), EX13/01-01/17115 (5263904WK2846N), EX13/01-01/17117 (0099003WK3809N), EX13/01-01/17123 (5269814WK2856N), EX13/01-01/17128 (5269821WK2856N), EX13/01-01/17134 (4466936WK2846N), EX13/01-01/17135 (9798001WK2899N), EX13/01-01/17136 (0198206WK3809N), EX13/01-01/17148 (0198201WK3809N) and EX13/01-01/17149 (5212011WK2951S).

In total, there are 16 properties with numerical plot references and 11 with full alphanumeric cadastral references.

Bank transfer and deposit in the General Deposit Fund

Payment will be made via bank transfer to the account designated by the interested parties. The announcement specifies that amounts whose payment cannot be made effective through this means will be deposited in the General Deposit Fund (Caja General de Depósitos) at the disposal of the owners, and once the circumstance that prompted the deposit has been resolved, the Tagus Hydrographic Confederation (Confederación Hidrográfica del Tajo) will carry out the appropriate procedures to effect payment.

The announcement is made public for the purposes provided for in Article 49 of the Compulsory Expropriation Regulations, which develop the Compulsory Expropriation Law of December 16, 1954. The document was signed in Madrid on October 30, 2026, by the Secretary General, Álvaro Agustín de Torres Suárez.

Recurring procedures and new remittances

The publication of this announcement is not an isolated event. In the BOP of Guadalajara No. 203, of October 23, 2026, the Confederation had already notified late payment interest for another group of properties from the same municipality and the same project, with the same file key. The sequence of announcements indicates a gradual regularization of pending payments, section by section, as the Confederation closes the documentation for each set of owners.

For those affected in Pareja, the news has a direct effect: the Confederation formally recognizes the obligation and opens the way to collect the compensation for the delay, a procedure that requires having a designated bank account and which, otherwise, necessitates going to the General Deposit Fund (Caja General de Depósitos) to withdraw the consigned amount. It is advisable to review the exact identification of the estate—polygon and plot—to check if your own file appears in this list or remains for a subsequent announcement.
